CommBank Fraudulent Account?
I am an American. I do not live in Australia. I am not a CommBank customer.
I am getting emails from CommBank. At first I treated them as spam. Then I realized that these look legitimate. So, I called an Australian support number, but ran out of minutes so couldn't continue with them.
I am unsure what to do. I can't find a valid international support number on their site.
I assume this is a legitimate bank, based on all my research.
no-reply@edm.cba.com.au is the email I received from.
The emails do not look like phishing emails. They are just marketing emails or online statement is ready.
There is supposedly an account created with my name, and my email. I have full access to my email.
I don't know what to do. I can't call. I can't chat online. I have not found a customer support email.
You guys may not be able to help me, but any Australian Advice is appreciated.
Edit: I appreciate all of you Aussies. I understand this could be phishing, but based on everything it seems to be legitimate. I am not clicking any links in the email, nor using their links. Based on multiple comments I decided to reach out to CommBanks @hoax email.
