Hashimoto's and infertility

TW: living child

Anyone else here have every fertility test come back normal, except for having Hashimoto's? I was diagnosed last June following a miscarriage. I was 1 year postpartum at diagnosis. Conceived my son on the first try at age 27. We started trying for a second a year after he was born and experienced 2 miscarriages and about a year of infertility. All my lab work, HSG, AMH, etc. has come back completely normal. My thyroid is well managed (TSH below 1, T3 and T4 in optimal ranges), and has been since January. I even had my inflammatory markers checked, and they are normal. I have a hard time believing Hashimoto's can be the root cause of my infertility/miscarriages, but everything else seems completely normal (husband's sperm is great too).

I eat a gluten free diet, take all the supplements, use red light therapy, eat mainly a whole food diet, walk and lift weights frequently.. I ovulate monthly though I do have a slightly shorter luteal phase (9-11 days).

Curious if others have a similar experience with Hashimoto's?

Increased dose of clomid - earlier mature follicles?

Hi all! 30F and 32M, our first IUI failed, I got my period on Friday. My providers are increasing my clomid dose for the next round. I'm feeling worried because I am taking a trip and returning on CD12, just in time for my monitoring ultrasound. Curious if anyone has experienced their follicles maturing earlier after increasing their ovulation induction medication? Last time on CD12 I had 1 follicle at 19 mm. I would be so bummed if my follicles were over-mature on CD12.

Would love to hear your experiences. Thanks so much!

Pregnant after negative test 11 DPIUI?

Just tested today at 11 DPIUI and it's negative. I use cheap Amazon tests. Has anyone tested positive after a negative result at this point? I have a feeling I am out, but trying to hold onto hope.

IUI Twins?! 7/24

30F and 32M -Anyone else have their IUI today? It was my first, so I'm trying to keep my expectations low. I used 50 mg of Clomid CD3-7. I had a 19.5 mm follicle on Tuesday morning, triggered Wednesday night, and IUI this morning. We had 54 million sperm count with 88% motility. This is my first cycle following a miscarriage, and I had an HSG procedure a week ago. I noticed lots of cervical mucus this morning, which I felt was a good sign because I usually don't notice any around my natural ovulation time. I have Hashimoto's but other than that all of our fertility testing was normal.

First IUI - concerned about size of follicle at time of trigger

This is my first IUI cycle, I took clomid 50 mg CD3-7. On CD12 my monitoring ultrasound showed 1 follicle measuring 19.5 mm, my lining was 7.95 mm. I ovulate on my own, but not usually until CD16-17. My provider wanted me to see if I had an LH surge anytime the rest of CD12 and CD13 and if not I'd use an Ovidrel trigger shot. I did not get an LH surge, so my provider wants me to do the shot tonight, approximately 38 hours after my monitoring ultrasound. The IUI would take place 36 hours after that. It seems like my follicle would be too big by that point? Assuming it grows 2 mm per day, at the time I trigger it would be about 21.5 mm. From other posts I've read on here, it seems most providers trigger when the follicle is smaller than that.

Does this seem typical? I'm sure I'm overthinking things. I have a difficult time fully trusting the process.

First IUI coming up

TW: loss

Just had my monitoring ultrasound after taking 50 mg of Clomid CD3-7. I'm on CD12 and have 1 mature follicle of 19 mm, my lining is looking good. I usually ovulate on my own, so I'm supposed to check for an LH surge the rest of today and if I don't get a surge by tomorrow morning I'll use Ovidrel. I thought I might have a UTI and am waiting on the urine analysis results to come back, but my provider said it wouldn't necessarily mean we'd have to cancel the cycle. The potential UTI combined with only getting one mature follicle has me feeling a little bummed about this cycle. I also know the chances of success on round 1 are slim, but trying to stay positive! I had an 8-week miscarriage early June and had an HSG procedure on CD8, so I'm hoping both of those factors will help "boost" my fertility for this attempt.

Anyone else on a similar timeline or situation?

Frequent urination before IUI

I'm on CD10 after taking clomid 50 mg during CD3-7. This is my first IUI cycle. I also had an HSG procedure done on CD8 (tubes are clear, uterus looks normal). All of a sudden today I am peeing more frequently, I just peed 3 times in about 1.5 hours. I'm terrified I have a UTI before my IUI procedure this week. Anyone else have frequent urination symptoms after taking clomid?

Guidance - Hashimoto's, RPL

I've just experienced my second miscarriage when I went into my 10 week appointment and they found no heartbeat, learned baby had stopped growing at a little after 8 weeks. I had felt comforted by hearing the heartbeat at 7 weeks, so this was really unexpected.

Backstory:

I had a son in May 2024. When he turned 1 in May 2025, my husband and I stayed TTC for a second. We conceived on the first attempt (like we had done for our first son), but had one early miscarriage around 5 weeks. Following the MC I had labs run and learned I have Hashimoto's. Started levothyroxine but never got my thyroid levels in range until after starting liothyronine on January 2026. I also followed a strict autoimmune protocol from January through April, lost 20 pounds and returned to pre-baby weight, and generally felt healthier. We were about to start an IUI cycle when I learned I was pregnant in April. I really felt good about this pregnancy, because my body seemed to be in a better place to carry a child, but I'm now questioning everything after this second MC.

Prior to conceiving, I had worked with a fertility doctor who ran some labs and did an ultrasound. She found no issues on the ultrasound or labs; my AMH looked great at 4.02 (I am 30 years old).

I met with an OB after this miscarriage hoping to discuss RPL labs and was disappointed when she recommended trying naturally for 6 more months and running labs after that if we weren't successful. I'd rather get the testing done now to avoid more heartbreak. I feel in my gut there is something else wrong with me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for lab work, other tests, etc. that I should request? My husband and I are comfortable spending our savings on this, as we would ideally like 2 more children.

Other info to note: I do not experience painful periods or any endo symptoms. I have a shorter luteal phase (usually 11 days, occasionally only 10), and I had been using vaginal progesterone suppositories during my last few cycles and throughout the pregnancy. I take the following supplements: prenatal with methylated folate, magnesium, CoQ10, NAC, myo-inosotol, vitex, vitamin D3 with K2, EPA-DHA, and iron. I also take LDN in addition to liothyronine and levothyroxine. I did take medication to pass this last miscarriage. I developed pre eclampsia while in labor with my first son.

Thanks so much for any guidance.
