Attention: Bayonne Dog Owners

Any dog owners living in one of the apartment buildings (e.g. aqua, waterview, Breton etc). willing to swap dog sitting services?

I don't like leaving my dog alone in the apartment in case the fire alarm goes off, but I'm also not keen on paying a dog sitter if I simply need to pop into a grocery store or run a quick errand.

Wondering if there's any dog owners locally who want to swap dog sitting services so we can run errands and not worry about leaving our dogs alone in the building.

PLEASE HELP! Interview in 2 weeks but tax transcript hasn’t been processed yet. Freaking out

I had my document review at the US embassy in London for a spouse visa application. My spouse submitted a letter on the CEAC portal a couple weeks ago advising that his 2025 tax transcript hasn’t been processed yet and he submitted the following instead:

• Stamped Form 1040 (filed March 2026)
• Form W-7 (ITIN Application)
• ITIN Assignment Letter from the IRS
• 2024 Federal Tax Transcript
• Screenshots from the IRS website indicating 2025 Tax Refund Received

At my document review, the US officer told me to bring the 2025 tax transcript to my interview in 2 weeks.

I’m worried that my spouse won’t receive his tax transcript in time and the US officer won’t approve my visa.

Has anyone been through this or anything similar?

Will my wife's spouse visa be denied at the interview if I can't provide my 2025 IRS tax return transcript?

My wife has her immigrant visa interview coming up in the UK and I'm the petitioner/sponsor on the I-864. The problem is the IRS hasn't processed my mailed 2025 joint 1040 yet which was stamped received on March 19, 2026 and submitted along with an ITIN number application at the Tax Assistance Center, so there's no transcript available when I check the IRS "Get Transcript" tool.

What I plan to bring instead:

• My 2024 tax return transcript (fully processed)

• A copy of our filed 2025 joint 1040 (filed but not yet processed by IRS)

• My wife's ITIN number letter from the IRS

• A signed written statement explaining the transcript isn't available due to IRS processing delays

• A screenshot from IRS Get Transcript showing the 2025 transcript is inaccessible

My questions:

1. Has anyone been in a similar situation where their most recent year's transcript wasn't available yet? What happened at the interview?

2. Will the consular officer accept the 2024 transcript + a copy of the unprocessed 2025 return as sufficient?

3. Is there any risk of denial or a Request for Evidence (RFE) specifically because of the missing 2025 transcript?

Golden Retriever advice - Can a vet help explain these X-rays?

My Golden Retriever has been diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia by our vet, who says it's manageable without surgery. I'd really love a second opinion from anyone with veterinary knowledge before we commit to a treatment plan.

X-ray images here: https://postimg.cc/gallery/9VgBxz4

Specifically I'd love help understanding:

  1. Does this look like straightforward hip arthritis to you, or is there anything more concerning?
  2. Do you agree that surgery isn't necessary at this stage?
  3. What non-surgical management options work best for hip arthritis in dogs?

He's my whole world and I hate seeing him in pain. I just want to make sure we're doing right by him. Any insight from vets or vet techs would be massively appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Aqua Bayonne vs Waterview Bayonne - anyone lived in either?

Torn between these two buildings.

People who lived there/are living there - What are your thoughts? How was/is your experience? Management good? Any issues with the building?

Also, curious to know what people are actually paying for a 1BR at either place?

Looking for recommendations on where to move in NJ this July

Hi Reddit Community!

My husband and I are looking to sign a new lease in NJ this July and would love recommendations on the best areas, towns, apartment buildings, or complexes to consider. I'm actually relocating from the UK so this will be my first time living in America - any tips or advice beyond just housing are more than welcome!

Our must-haves:

  • 🚆 Easy commute to Jersey City (my husband works there) – ideally close to NJ Transit or the PATH
  • 🗽 Good transport links to NYC for social trips and the occasional commute
  • 🐕 Dog-friendly – we have a dog so walkable neighbourhoods and nearby parks/green spaces are a big plus
  • Decent walkability or at least good access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
  • Reasonably safe area with a friendly community vibe
  • A space to park our car

We're conscious of not overstretching on rent - we're trying to save for our future so value for money is really important to us.

If you're renting in NJ, drop a comment with: your area, beds/baths, monthly rent (utilities + parking space included or not), pet-friendly or not, roughly what percentage of your income goes to rent, and anything you wish you'd known before moving there.

We're ideally looking in Hudson County or close to there. Thanks in advance – this community always delivers! 🙏

Looking for some advice/recommendations for pet insurance in the UK.

I’ve got a 7-year-old male Golden Retriever (neutered), and he’s got a few ongoing issues:

  • Arthritis + hip dysplasia
  • Seasonal skin allergies
  • Epilepsy (this is the big one)

I’m currently with Sainsbury’s, paying £77.87/month, but my renewal quote has jumped to £171.32 which feels… pretty brutal. Main thing is I need cover for pre-existing conditions, especially his epilepsy, so I know that limits options a lot.

At this point I’m wondering:

  • Are there any UK insurers that actually cover pre-existing conditions at a reasonable price or is it basically not worth switching at his age/with his history?
  • Would I be better off cancelling and just self-insuring instead?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation, especially with older dogs or ongoing conditions.

Thanks!
