Napoli deal with Shalke for Lindstrom collapsed, what's going on?

Apparently according to Bild (german media):

They agreed to a loan with a 5m option to buy, Lindstrom did his medical, and then Napoli tried to change the deal to obligation.

Schalke was pissed about this and pulled out of the deal.

To this Napoli put out a press statement, claiming it was Schalke that tried to alter unspecified financial parts of the deal. Napoli was willing to agree to further negotiations but says that Schalke withdraw anyway the same day.

I imagine ADL is going to take this very calmly

New controversy regarding Maldini and Pirlo sons who are working as agents despite not having the formal qualifications. In 2016 Marcello Lippi was not appointed as technical director for the national team because Davide Lippi work as an agent had been deemed a conflict of interests.

Matters are tense for FIGC president Giovanni Malagò, not only because of Andrea Pirlo's potential appointment as coach of the national team and his ties with russian betting company Fonbet, but a new controversy has emerged regarding his son as well as technical director Paolo Maldini's son and their work as agents.

Nicolò Pirlo is working for You First, who among his many clients has spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente, while Christian Maldini is working for GR Sports, Giuseppe Riso agency, who has Paolo's other son Daniel Maldini as a client.

However the two are currently not legally recognized as agents as they have not achieved the necessary qualifications.
Back in 2016 FIGC president Carlo Tavecchio considered signing Marcello Lippi as technical director for the national team, but soon reconsidered due to his son Davide Lippi's work as an agent had been deemed a conflict of interest with his father's appointment.

Milan will move forward without appointing sporting and technical directors, instead a team led by Gerry Cardinale will manage the club. Ruben Amorim will have a greater influence in the transfer market.

Gerry Cardinale has chosen to not appoint the sporting or technical directors. Ruben Amorim will have a greater influence in the transfer market.

Instead Milan will operate in what they consider a more dynamic and fluid approach, there would be a team led by Gerry Cardinale himself, consisting of Bobby Gardiner (former recruitment analyst and current Head of Performance Analytics who will soon become the new head of scouts), administration assistant Hendrink Almstadt, board member David Castelblanco (focused on investment on media, entertainment and consumer sectors) and other RedBird professionals.

This way any decision, including contract renewals, will have to be signed off by Cardinale.

A new CEO will also be appointed to replace the current interim Massimo Calvelli, but will only deal with financial matters and won't have any inputs on transfers. Jovan Kirovski will remain at Milan Futuro and will not be promoted to the first team.

Lecce has proposed the Via del Mare stadium for euros 2032

A while ago there was an article that only Juventus stadium was approved for hosting the euros, and Italy could risk losing their cohost status to another country.

Via del Mare has a 32'000 capacity per wikipedia, so in addition to this the other stadiums that will be available would be:

  1. Juventus Stadium

  2. Dacia Arena Udine

  3. Artemio Franchi (hopefully works are finished in 6 years)

  4. The new San Siro if it gets built according to schedule

  5. The new Venezia stadium currently under construction?

Unfortunately with the italian bureaucracy I can't see a new stadium built in Rome or Naples so soon.

There is also Atalanta and Monza stadiums that are relatively modern but they might not want to have all the games close by San Siro if it's available.

[Moretto] There are ongoing talks between Milan and Rangnick for the sporting director role, however issues could arise between him and Ibrahimovic. Milan will also meet Glasner today.

The are ongoing contacts between Milan and Ralf Rangnick for the role of sporting director, however talks are not at an advanced stage as Rangnick has asked for guarantees, both in terms of financial investment and authority on the appointment of management figures.

This, combined with past issues, could potentially cause conflict with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as his appointment of Jovan Kirovski in the sporting director role for Milan Futuro is not negotiable. Rangnick is evaluating wether to extend his contract with the austrian federation.

Milan is also holding a meeting with Glasner today for the manager role.

Massimo Calvelli is filling the position of CEO as interim, it is yet to be seen if he's continue to hold the office in the future.

Ramon Planes is also being considered for the sporting director role, and in case he were to be appointed, Pochettino would be his first choice for the manager position.
