Progression on easy@home and FRER - 17 dpo

How’s this looking? This is my first pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect lol. First easy@home was 11dpo pm, the rest are am 12-17dpo. The FRER tests are every other day starting at 12 dpo (so 12, 14, and 16). Doctor didn’t seem to want to offer betas so I’m stuck waiting until my first appointment.

Home birth hemorrhage experiences?

Hi everyone! Looking to see if anyone has some experiences with hemorrhaging during home birth and possible cause being a bleeding disorder.

I am VERY early pregnancy with my first and I’ve always loved the idea of a home birth. However for the last few years I’ve struggled with extremely heavy periods, and I take Tranexamic acid to help with clotting during my period, otherwise the bleeding is absolutely unbearable. My doctor mentioned I could possibly have an underlying bleeding disorder, but nothing has been tested or confirmed since the medicine seems to work well for me, it just kind of got left at that (typical US healthcare lol).

I’m anxious about the idea of a home birth now that it’s a real possibility; my fear is that I’ll hemorrhage after birth and basically discover that my heavy bleeding was due to a bleeding disorder that went undiscovered, and I don’t really love the idea of finding that out at home after birth when minutes matter.

I haven’t even had my first OB appointment yet but I’ve already had a hard time getting ahold of them, and I love the idea of having a midwife who’s more accessible and more knowledgeable on natural birth, since if I do go the hospital route I’m going to do everything in my power to avoid interventions and give birth as naturally as possible.

Does anyone have any experiences they can share, advice, or encouragement while I weigh my options and start making this decision?

Thought I was out with my dip at 10 DPO

Huge dip at 10 DPO and my cycle is usually around 24 days long so I really thought I was out. My oura ring also went out and while I was waiting for a replacement I missed a couple days of temps lol. I was super cranky and starving but nothing sounded good last night so I took an easy@home on a whim and got a vvvf positive at 11 DPO. Waited for my FMU this morning (12 DPO) to use my last FRER and lo and behold, definitely positive, and had another temp rise today!

11 dpo - I see a line in person but am having trouble picking it up on camera?

I feel like I see a line in person, but when I try to take a picture of it I swear there’s nothing 😂 I need some extra sets of eyes, what do we think? 11 dpo and I took this on a whim at the end of my day when I got home from work so definitely diluted lol.

Overnight test drive this weekend!

Yall might recall my previous post where people said the model y might not be the best fit for me, but I can’t stop daydreaming about it and realistically it would be perfect for my lifestyle now so I’m trying not to think too much about 3-5 years in the future 😂 My husband also really wants one so it’ll be a joint purchase for us. Taking one for an overnight test drive this weekend and I’m really excited to get a better feel for the car.

We do have a dryer outlet in our garage so we plan to try charging with that overnight. I’ll also be driving it on my work “commute,” although I don’t work this weekend so I’ll just drive there and back. Besides FSD, what other features do I need to check out?

Input on some of my reservations!

Hi y’all! My husband and I are thinking about replacing my 2020 Toyota Corolla with a new Model Y premium AWD. I love the car itself, and the features, but I’ve got a few reservations that I am hoping I can get some input on from current owners.

  1. Reliability over several years of ownership. I bought my Corolla new with a 0.99% interest rate and would love to do the same with my next car. I’m not really interested in buying a used Tesla, mainly because I like the newer features and don’t trust other people’s care of their cars. Has anyone owned their Model Y for 5-6 years and how have they held up over time, especially battery degradation and range?

  2. Is it a good family car? We would like to grow our family soon and obviously my Corolla would work, but the backseat of the Model Y doesn’t feel all that much bigger than my Corolla. Will I regret not buying something more spacious with 2 big dogs and potential future carseat(s)? My husband’s car is a truck so we’ve got that for things that we need more utility for, however it also won’t be great for dogs and kids only having 2 rows.

  3. Depreciation. I know all cars depreciate and that they’re not appreciating assets, however if I buy one now and decide that I need something larger in the next few years, am I going to regret something that lost more than half of its value in the time I owned it?

I love how they drive, love the idea of driving at home, and honestly love FSD. This would truly be a lifestyle upgrade (I don’t need a new car, but I made half of what I do now in a higher cost of living area and the Corolla was what I could afford at the time). Convince me on some of the things I’m holding back on!!

Torn between the two! I have scoliosis and a small car so I’m looking for a lightweight system for daily use. The Graco GoMax has a few pros over the Nuna (no rethread harness, option to add a base, rigid latch position memory, price point), but it is a little heavier and I’d imagine a little lower quality materials. The Nuna stroller has a newborn recline, but I also like the idea of baby wearing often. Curious to hear from folks who have used either option!
