Buddy ain’t playing against Dominayton no more
I really like ICEMAN and think the other 2 albums are complete dogshit
I've listened to it front to back twice now and while there are some songs that are underwritten, some songs with lackluster singing performances, and a tad too much beef talk, it's a return to form by his standards, no? The quality song to skip ratio is in his favor. Just curious what others think.
Please Mods, genuinely looking for some open minded discussion
I love J. Cole fans because they have the capability to be objective and understanding. At least relative to Kendrick fans. I am an enjoyer of all 3 artists, but I really wanted to see what you guys thought of this.
I went into ICEMAN thinking Drake would double down on the “fuck Cole” sentiment, but this honestly seems pretty balanced to me. From the run they went on in 2023, between the 3 of them, Drake and Cole obviously seemed like true friends with genuine love for one another. Cole has basically said as much in recent interviews.
The problem here is that Drake probably can’t understand why Cole wants to do whatever he can to keep the peace, while Cole probably has a hard time understanding that Drake felt left alone to get jumped after they had been collaborating so heavily. I honestly think that’s a completely reasonable way for Drake to feel.
In any case, I wanted to hear some thoughts, and I also want to say that I really hope those two can repair their relationship. As much as I enjoy Kendrick’s music, I do think the competitive direction all of this took hurt what was becoming an extremely fertile landscape for collaboration in hip hop. Hopefully Drake and Cole can eventually move past it.
When you ain't dickriding anyone and you can just enjoy the music from both artists
My glorious king Ice Tray is so fucking funny
Insert Vince Carter celebration meme: Moving from ATL to Washington this summer
My genuine joy for the sport left with Trae, and now upon graduation, I get to reunite with bro again. Going from one shitty logo to another (Hopefully there is a rebrand yalls blue jerseys were so tough) but it will be great to finally be a proper adult in a major city rooting for a team which can go all the way.
Since Giannis leaving would put this franchise in rebuild mode for a while, I am curious where the majority of fans would like him to land.
Obviously most of us have developed an attachment to him, and who wouldn't want to see him go win it all a couple more times? Certainly nobody wants to go forth and fail. I personally think his best chance is with the Wolves.
Los Angeles Lakers are 8–2 at home in elimination games with LeBron James on the roster since 2020
And in addition to that as you all know, LBJ came back 3-1 against the warriors. So we can logically deduce that we win the series 4-3 if history is any good of a predictor.
Mitch Johnson is a tool
Everyone understands Wemby was being hounded in the paint, everyone understands frustration. Usually a pretty normal reaction to this for an NBA player is some trash talk, maybe some pushing and shoving, but a reverse elbow with an exasperated grimace on your face to the throat of your opponent is a really bad look. Mitch Johnson is literally doing post game media saying "He has a right to defend himself". Bro what? This is a basketball game, not a street fight. Once again I understand the memes, but that was a seriously dangerous play by Wemby. Not character defining by any means, (I've seen people say "I knew he was a piece of shit", grow up dawg) but losing control of your emotions like that is pretty crazy. He should get a games suspension for sure. People have gotten suspensions for far less.
Got into some foul trouble unfortunately, tis the way it goes playing this team. Regardless, excellent effort from him, LBJ, Marcus, Rui, and Hayes. I think game 2 will be a great game which we could steal
Thankfully, we do not have JR smith on the team to sell the game. LeBron also has help in AR and Rui. Expect them to combine for 80. You can come back to this when I am right. It does not matter that OKC is "better on paper". Last time I checked, you win basketball between the 4 lines of the court, not the 4 edges of a faulty stat sheet. DA will make Holmgren cry tonight after outhustling him for 48 min straight.
Watching the Wolves and the Spurs rn and while Minnesota can probably beat any team depending on the night, they are def one dominant paint scorer away from being truly dominant. If they were able to construct a trade involving Randle, Reid, some picks, etc. I think it would def make sense for both franchises. Of course nobody wants Giannis to be traded, especially if he desires to stay in Milwaukee, but if he was traded I'd wanna see him succeed. A starting 5 of Ayo, Ant, Jaden, Giannis, and Rudy would be a lot of fun to watch.
It cannot mean anything else. this is not delusion. Rocky is literally from NYC. The Knicks are in round 2. He would never have allowed them to play a 4 month old song unless he plans on dropping soon. Disc 2 is imminent.
