Geese when the job requires zero geese

My dogs (geese) are everywhere I am. They love commenting on the project, testing materials, and, like any true foreman; napping on the job. 😆

Question regarding quail and chickens runs being closer than 25ft

I guess I'm wondering if I keep their enclosures 5- 10 ft apart and put up a solid barrier (like a tarp or corrugated plastic) on the chicken side, could that be enough to mostly prevent airborne illnesses?

I'm still fairly new to quail so I didn't consider the bacteria dust. 😭

Behavior question

Hey all!

I have two sweet little goosies around 4 months old. I'm unsure if they like me or not. When I approach them outside, they'll spread their wings and run/ walk towards me honking up a storm- they also do this when they go to their pool. They don't want me to touch them and scream when my hand gets too close but, if I'm outside, they're close by napping or grazing.

Is this behavior that would indicate that they like me? They've never hissed at me but they definitely seem scared of me petting them. Admittedly, I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would like when they were little fluffy babes because I work full time. I love them so much and want them to love me too.

Button quail made a new nest over her old one that has eggs?

I would love for my button quail to go broody but I'm a bit puzzled by this behavior. One of them made a nest, laid a couple of eggs in it and I put two back in that I had pulled to collect and she put more nesting material on top of the old eggs and laid a 5th egg. Why? Did I spook her by putting the ones I touched back in? Any insight or help is appreciated, I'm used to my chickens going broody so this is very new for me.

Ate too much pizza for lunch...

Still full from a late lunch so tomatoes with steak seasoning salt and some sugar snap peas that are definitely on their way out.

Not pictured: my massive mason jar full of sparkling water and the tub of ice cream I will be breaking into once I'm done with my veggies.

UPDATE: went back for more pizza after the ice cream.

So, I need an opinion on this situation that I may very well be overthinking. We just moved to an acre lot and I'm so excited for the extra space to expand my flock, garden and other hobbies. Ever since we put a bid on this house, I've dreamed about having a cute little roadside farmstand to sell eggs, herbs, flowers and extra stuff from my fruit and veggie garden. My nextdoor neighbor owns a HUGE farm and has so. many. chickens. She has a cute sign outside of her house advertising her eggs and I was excited because I felt like I am in the right place for this little way to profit a little bit from my hobbies. I recently found out she's a local celebrity who has an exclusive deal with a local market. Now, I don't know what etiquette is for this kind of thing: do I ask if it would be cool for me to have a little stand? Do I let her know in advance about my stand? Am I totally overthinking this because I found out she's a bigshot in the poultry game? I'm certainly not trying to get rich or quit my day job but try to get some of these eggs out of my house and maybe get a little bit of cash for it.

TL;DR moved in next to a locally famous farm who is a bigshot on the local egg market and I'm unsure how to proceed with my own roadside farmstand and what etiquette is here if there is any? She's more popular so I really don't think I'm going to be stealing any business from her.
