Knocking noice Audi RS6 C7

My Audi RS6 C7 (2016) has developed a noise that started out very faint but has gradually become quite LOUDE last night

The knocking noise is most noticeable at very low speeds (around 10 km/h or less), especially when I lightly rest my foot on the brake pedal. It is not as noticeable at higher speeds.

noice is not there when i turn Left/Right, only straight ahead and slow fot on brake.

The car is equipped with Audi carbon ceramic brakes 420mm

Additional checks already performed:

  • Wheels have been torqued to the correct specification.
  • Brake disc retaining screws have been checked and torqued to 5.8 Nm.
  • No rust or debris was found between the brake disc and wheel hub.
  • The noise cannot be reproduced with the vehicle on a lift.
  • The noise only occurs at low speeds when lightly applying the brake pedal.

I’ve been reading various forums and have seen people mention possible causes such as a CV joint, a complete front driveshaft replacement, or a wheel bearing.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions?

I also found another RS6 owner with what appears to be the exact same noise.
