Do Astartes take a new name when inducted?

I know most memories are scrapped during Hypno-indoctrination but what about the original name? I know most squads are named after their sergeant so imagine if your OG name was something like Barry and you become a sergeant and then you hear on the vox "Squad Barry, you are authorised to assault the enemy fortress, for the Emperor"

Does Pharaoh Dynasties make Troy obsolete?

Can't decide which Total War to play next, on my list were 3 Kingdoms, Troy and Pharaoh. I've heard 3 Kingdoms was abruptly abandoned, so I was between Troy and Pharaoh but then I got confused, is Troy already in the "updated" Pharaoh Dynasties? Does this mean there is no point in playing Troy unless you specifically play the Mythos setting?

Not a gooner post i promise, but i have a question.

How exactly does Lizzie Wizzie have sex? Did her gig about her relationship, and looking at her shes literally all metal. She even sais something about her metal hands sparking every time she touches something. Like what is there, just the genitals remain? Do they plug cords into each other and do it virtually?

Exorcist Librarians confuse me.

So the book Oaths of Damnation is a fairly recent novel by Robbie Mcniven (yes the Charcharodons writer) and it gives us a proper deep dive into this fairly unique chapter.

To keep this short, in order to become incorruptible, the Exorcists Astartes Chapter uses a profane ritual (overseen by the radical Ordos of the Inquisition) to posses the inductee astartes with a Daemon and then banish it. Both the ritual and the Space Marine must be top notch to be able to handle that. But when successful, the demon is banished from the body along with the soul of the Astartes. And while after effects (like mutations, mental echoes and even extra powers) are left with the Astartes they are indeed incorruptible. In fact they are described in the books almost as Pariahs, in essence, an absence of warp presence.

This is literally proven in the book when a powerful Word Bearers Dark Apostle tries to posses a near dead Astartes and finds that he literally has no soul to possess and call him an Anathema.

In the same novel however it's is clearly stated that the chapter has a big Librarius (along with a huge library on the daemonic) and one of the protagonists is also a Librarian fighting alongside his brothers.

Here's the question, how exactly can they keep functioning as psykers after losing their soul? Isn't a powerful soul one of the prerequisites of being a psyker in 40k? In fact many a times it's described that psyker souls are bright like beacons in the warp, which makes them a very tasty target for demons. More-over even non psyker Astartes of the Exorcists display some extra powers like growing claws and teeth and seeing the future (or possible futures) and and are seemingly more "in tune" with the warp.

My question is how is all that possible without a soul?

Getting sold out by his own side to be killed like some expendable stooge and yet he runs back to serve the NUSA like a beaten dog that knows no other master than his own abuser. 7 years a sleeper agent, living a half life, never moving on, always with one hand on the telephone, forever alert in case his former boss just might need him to risk his life again. All the while coping and deluding himself enough to keep a loose grip on reality. More a trapped phantom than a man. V shooting him in the face was actually granting him the liberty he deserves.
