How far can your toddler walk

Just curious! My daughter just turned 2. Our favorite family activity has always been walks. We take a stroller but lately she doesn’t want to sit in it and likes to push it herself. This is great for us because it’s tiring all of us out at the same time haha. Lately we’ve noticed she will go for longggg distances. Today she walked about two miles with me!! Do all toddlers do this or does she have super strength?

What am I actually doing wrong??? Help please

We have been doing the “3 day” potty training method with my 23 month old for 6 days. On day 7 today. We introduced the potty at 16 months and she would occasionally go poop or pee which we rewarded with stickers. The first day of no pants method she was sooo motivated by her new little potty and stickers! She went 4 times in the potty in the morning before having an accident. Day 2-5 were the worst. I set timers for every 30 minutes and stay within an arms reach so I can scoop her up and take her when she starts peeing. She says “potty” while peeing but does not give forewarning. we have had a few pees this whole week in the potty after sitting every 30 minutes the most being that first day. Now to day 7. 4 accidents and I was only able to get her to the potty fast enough for 2 of them to end up with a tiny bit of pee in the potty. She sits on the potty when the timer goes off and it’s hard to get her to come off the potty at times. However when she actually has to go pee or poop she is not motivated by ANYTHING. We do chocolate chips for keeping undies dry or getting a little pee in the potty after an accident. Ice cream and a prize for a full pee or poop in the potty. I remind her of this when I can see she clearly needs to go. She continues to pee her pants. It seems like she is understanding the connection between the feeling of having to pee? She’ll cross her legs or go hide and say potty when she pees. How can I motivate her to tell me before she pees? Should I give up? I’m at my wits end.

Are pictures screen time?

I’m not sure where to post this but I frequent this sub so i hope it’s okay to put this here. I am potty training my toddler and we are in the trenches. Today after 5 days I finally decided it was time to get out of the house. I brought our potty seat to the library to try but she refused to sit. I had nothing no other leverage was working so I told her she could see her baby picture on my phone if she sat. It worked. We spent about 10 minutes going through different pictures of family. I took the phone away to scroll through the pictures but then would give it back. She was soooo infatuated with it 😭. Ugh I feel like 24 months of screen free is down the drain. Is this okay? I don’t want to let her have my phone but it feels like the only option in public toilets.

Does anyone else’s toddler just lay in the dark

After a long journey my toddler finally goes to sleep without my husband and I laying down with her for an hour. She has a toddler bed and we do a usual bedtime routine of books, cuddles and then we turn off the lights and leave the room. It was probably a 2-3 month process of us first sitting next to her then scooting closer to the door until we were able to leave the room without her crying. We never left her to cry and would always come to her if she cries. However her behavior seems to be that of a child who has been left to cry! When she wakes up either after nap or in the morning she doesn’t make a sound. She will lay there for I don’t know how long. She normally wakes about 6:30-7 am and once I accidentally slept in until 8 and she was just laying in bed with her eyes open! I’m 35 weeks pregnant and exhausted so I want to nap when she does but I feel like I can’t. I set an hour and a half alarm for a nap but yesterday she was up before me again. Why doesn’t she make any noise it breaks my heart. She will be two next month and every day we talk about yelling for mom or dad when she wakes up but she doesn’t. Is she scared of the dark? Did we do the wrong thing by leaving her to fall asleep on her own? What can I do to have her alert us when she wakes up?
Edit: Thank you everyone for the reassurance! I’m glad to know my toddler isn’t the only one doing this and that leaving her to fall asleep on her own probably hasn’t messed her up forever!

How to raise a perfectionist with big feelings?

Just looking for some advice. My daughter is 22 months so still very little obviously but she has been exhibiting a need for perfection since around 12 months. She gets extremely frustrated when she isn’t able to “get things right” in her little mind. For some examples, she wants all her books to be put away a certain way. She will pick up her clothes and put them in the laundry if they are on the floor. If her baby doll doesn’t sit the right way she gets VERY frustrated etc. She is also extremely empathetic. She feels things even deeper than a lot of toddlers. If her school friends are crying she tries to comfort them with hugs or back pats. So all this to say I’m really worried I’m going to do something to mess up! I think she is really special and these traits can take her really far as long as her little spirit isn’t crushed. Does anyone have advice for raising this type of personality? Or does anyone with this personality type have things their parents did that helped them stay confident?
