1st full budget build restomod on my 2002 Cannondale CAAD 5 R800.
Botched the bar tape wrapping 😭 and figuring out how to set the derailleurs still a bit of a learning curve but it has been a fun build. Feels even more lighter and stiff, can’t wait to take this hog on a real ride.

I recently got some wheels from Ali for a restomod. Says the rim tube is carbon fiber. I know several here use superteams and other wheels alike are yall using brake pads for carbon fiber wheels or just regular brake pads?

Hi all, my bike rack has a slight gap on the top section of the rack. Bikes wobble a bit when driving left to right because of this on the upper section. It has a stabilizer so there’s no wobble or issue near the hitch just the upper section anyone ever dealt with such issue and have a remedy? Video for reference. Thank you.

I bought some replacement jockey wheels from Amazon for a budget restomod. It’s my first time installing pulleys. I know some brands like Shimano have G pulley that helps dictate the order. However, the ones I got don’t have anything and appear to be the same size and spin the same. Does it matter in which order and direction I install?

I’m rehauling/resto modding an older R800 and came across some ultegra 6700 parts for hella cheap. I’m wondering how much life do you think these chain rings have? NOS and even used chain rings run easily $120-180 on average.
At that price I’m wondering should I get an ultegra 8000 which someone confirmed worked on their 6700 set up or ride this out? I will have a new chain and cassette. Thank you.
