What’s the most absurd game genre you can think of for your fandom?

I don’t know what got me thinking about this, but what madness of a genre doesn’t match your fandom at all, but would be an absolute blast to play? Transformers and GOLF is my example, but I want to see how unbelievably absurd y’all’s can get. XD

I Need A Financially Stable Job, But Can't Find One Without Driving. What do I do?

Welp, as the title of this post suggests, I'm in quite the predicament. For a bit of background, I had a TBI three-ish years ago, and while my healing is coming along slowly but surely, my driving abilities are still not good enough to drive myself places. The driving issue MAY heal in time, but considering I had a cranial cancer tumor as a child that made driving difficult BEFORE the head injury, I'm not too confident I'll be able to drive more than 15 minutes at a time even if I heal.

With all that in mind, I don't know what to do for a job- I'm currently working for my parent's family business, but with my family growing and with the hellish state of the economy, I can't do that long term to provide for my wife and kids.

I've tried looking online for local jobs, and no matter what I do, every financially stable job I find either needs a degree, driving, or 20 years of experience I don't have. For the degree, I can't afford the time or money to acquire one right now; For the experience (specifically for trade jobs) I need to drive; And to drive, I need to not get debilitating vertigo every time I hit the highway.

I've tried to look into remote work, but those jobs so far have been a bust, and I can't find a good remote job website without a paywall.

So back to the title, has anyone here been in a similar situation before? What job did you end up getting, and do you have a field of work you could recommend? If I need to post this elsewhere, I gladly will, and thank you for reading this far.

Can your head build aversions to certain situations?

Hey y’all- New TBI subreddit member here.

I had my TBI roughly 3 years ago, and to this day, I struggle with vertigo almost on the daily. I’ve had medical treatment, therapy, the works, and despite it all, the Vertigo just needs more time than anything to heal. While I’m ok with waiting, there seems to be an issue that’s more apparent with passing time; I think my head is building an aversion to my church service.

I have to skip doing the singing, as all the input is just too much. But, it really seems like the more time goes on, the more my head is hurting during the sermon too. I sit in the back, have loops(really good earplugs), and light dimming glasses. But despite it all, it still feels like the lights are too harsh, and if anything, they’re getting harsher.

I’m not necessarily asking for answers, since I don’t know what answers there are. I’m just wondering… Can you build aversions to things in the opposite way you do with resistances? Thanks for reading this far. 😅👍

The Last Hurdle The Fandom will Probably Face

I’ve been thinking a lot about the finale of the show lately, and how it’s gonna be probably be the biggest indie media theater release ever (save Iron Lung or BFDI from what I’ve heard. It’s really awesome to think about all the publicity the show will get! But also… It’s really not.

Even though the theater release will be a triumph for indie animation, I think the finale will get absolutely blasted by the film critics/“animation is for kids” groups, and it’s gonna be somewhat of the final boss fight the fandom and Goose will have to face.

With the above picture as a good example of what I mean, I think there will be a HUGE group of people who want nothing more than for the show to get banned from existence under the pretense that it’s a kids show. And I don’t want that to happen! But I think it’s inevitable with the media literacy of these days.

I don’t know what to do about it when if/when it happens, but I know that to start we can beat down the lie that animation is solely a children’s medium, and SINCERELY HOPE that people can that through their thick skulls. Maybe if we do, the fallout won’t be so bad. What do y’all think?
