A thought I had about Gaibon

I remember playing this game as a kid and thinking Gaibon probably could have been made to be Dracula's second form in Super Castlevania IV. Granted he would need to be bigger, but I think he has a look and attack that is reminiscent of the second form Dracula had in the original NES Castlevania.

Anyone else look back and think: How the f*ck did I ever believe in this sh*t???

I mean, I (as probably was most of us) was indoctrinated at a young age before I knew any better. But after all of these years it really just blows my mind when I look back at it.

How well do you think these witches would do if they entered the Black Hills forest?

I saw The Backrooms movie recently, and I feel like this is probably the closest thing we are going to get to an actual House of Leaves movie.

Just saying. I don't want to throw out any spoilers, but there are some similarities. At the moment, I feel like this is the closest thing there might be to a House of Leaves movie. If you haven't seen it already, and are wanting a HoL movie adaptation, maybe give The Backrooms a try.

Anyone else hoping that the next Blair Witch film is a prequel/origin story?

Personally, I think there's huge potential with a story revolving around Elly Kedward and how the legend of the Blair Witch started. We've done the thing with people running around in the woods with video cameras while being chased by something that's unseen (or mostly unseen) 3 times already. Maybe it's time to change up the formula a bit?

Alan Rickman as Count Dracula?

I was watching "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and loved Alan Rickman's performance as the Sheriff of Nottingham. I think he could have made an great Count Dracula.

Do you think (SPOILER) happened?

Near the end of the film we see...

>!Pirate Clark enter the kitchen and kill Clark. As this happens, Mary frees herself and runs out of the kitchen into another space filled with houses where she is trying to find a door that will open. Seconds pass before Pirate Clark emerges to pursue her. Before he did though, do you think that Pirate Clark killed the other three still lifes that were in the kitchen? Granted there wasn't a lot of time that passed between him killing Clark and emerging from the kitchen to chase Mary. But I suppose he could have dealt with the other still lifes faster than he did Clark.!<

Should a sequel to this movie be made?

As surely as the sun rises everyday, Hollywood will undoubtedly make a sequel to a successful movie. As much as I enjoyed this movie, I fear that The Backrooms might end up suffering from what has befell many horror franchises: being milked for all they're worth via a series of sequels that pale in comparison to the original. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but let's face it those are in the minority. I honestly have no problem with The Backrooms being a standalone film, and I think part of what makes it great, what makes any horror great, is leaving some things a mystery. After all, isn't the fear of the unknown a key element of horror? If you start explaining too much, start showing too much, it loses that factor.

Do you think they can top the first film, or produce something that at the very least equals it?

Would you shop at "Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire"?

As a consumer, is this a place you could see yourself shopping at if you needed new furniture?

Kenshiro looked badass with a beard. I wouldn't have minded if he kept it for the rest of the movie, and had him clean shaven only in the parts of the movie before Shin wounded him.

Out with the old, in with the new.

My new Legacy Galvatron. Got a good deal for him on Amazon, as they're cheaper than the new '86 version. After purchasing him I upgraded his head, feet, back, and cannon.

Aside from the fact that this just wasn't all that great of a movie, at least not when compared to the first film, there was another problem I had with it. And that problem lies with its soundtrack. When this movie starts off we are treated to the sound of "Disposable Teens" blasting at us full force as the opening credits show. Before this movie I was oblivious of this song as I wasn't really a Marilyn Manson fan. But I instantly liked this song, and despite not terribly caring for the movie itself, I did like much of the music. So what do I do? I go buy the soundtrack, right? Makes sense, right? Well screw me for not checking to see whether or not "Disposable Teens" was actually included on the CD. Because it wasn't.

And I have no idea why this was. I'm sure there's some explanation. But can you get the disappointment I was experiencing? I paid full price to see the movie, which wasn't all that great. But hey at least I can have this groovy soundtrack with this kick ass song they throw at us right out of the gate. Nope. It's not in there,

*Edit*

I first saw this movie in the theater when it came in 2000. Back then there wasn't the ability to buy just a single song off of the internet like there is today.
