Props to let's make a deal

I'm home recovering from surgery and of course watching daytime game shows.

On let's make a deal a trans woman was just a contestant and the host, Wayne Brady, congratulated her and said "You go girl"

Props to him and the production staff.

It happened!

Went to lunch with my wife yesterday and then we walked in the town for a little while. We went into one shop and were greeted with "hello ladies". I wasn't trying to pass at all. Cargo pants ball cap with my hair slightly curling out and a T-shirt (which does show my boobs). I guess the combination may make me seem like a butch lesbian. I'll take it!

WTF? This is comedy?

I went to a comedy show last evening. I won't mention the comedian by name (I don't want this post removed) but I will mention that he is a ventriloquist who performs with puppets. I'll let you figure out who it is.

Some of the "jokes":

"If a transvestite sneezes on you is that transmission fluid?"

"If a transgender goes missing do they put their picture on a carton of half and half?"

Then this "comedian" introduced the first "woman" puppet in his act. A character he was clearly trying to portray as a trans woman. (With a very deep voice)

Some of the "jokes" with this character:

She loves the WNBA!

She thinks that men competing in women's sports "takes balls".

Her dress "has pockets!"

Several minutes of this type of "humor".

The final puppet of the show answers written questions supposedly from the audience. One question "'Puppet character' are you transgender you don't wear pants or a skirt?" (This is a purple character with yellow fur and green hair and one sneaker.)

I encourage anyone reading this post to find this person and let him know that targeting transgender people is not an acceptable form of comedy.

If you want DM and I will give you this "comic's" name and email

Dinner alone

Wifie isn't a fan of beef, so I jump on the opportunity when she is out.

Petit sirloin grilled with balsamic reduction and grape tomatoes in a balsamic dressing.

I SAID IT

Went to a Bed and Breakfast this weekend with my wife.

I introduced myself as Mia!

No I am in no way passable. But the owners of the BnB showed no response whatsoever. I was just a person.

I sure being in a town with more pride flags flying than American flags had something to do with it too.

But WOW!

A new legal name!

My great state has officially changed my name to Mia Elizabeth today

The entire process took just over an hour. I'm quite pleasant surprised.

Good people

No pictures here just a positive story

This past Saturday my wife and I went to a diner before seeing a show at a local theater.

While waiting for our food, the manager came to our table and said "How are you ladies today?". I thought I might have misheard, but as we were leaving he said "Have a good afternoon, ladies."

(He was an older man 50-60)

I am not passable at all right now. I was wearing a T-shirt where you can see the outline of my small boobs. I was also wearing a rainbow watch strap and a trans wrist band. But that's all that would give someone a hint. My head was spinning.

We then went to the theater and ordered drinks at the bar. One bartender who was at the other end of the bar made her way over to me and said "I love your bracelet." Yeah my head was spinning again and I didn't even have a sip of my drink yet.

Yeah people, there is a lot of negativity out there, but there is positivity too. Good people exist.
