Am I crazy or is dealing with contractors in this city a nightmare?

Some examples- crazy time overruns on bigger jobs, not pulling permits when it’s part of the invoice and cost of the job and only refunding (not rectifying mind you) when I took the initiative to contact, being asked to offer expertise and being told why I’m contacting but then doing the exact thing I would have done as a homeowner but charging hundreds, simply making errors, etc.

Am I just having bad luck or have other people had similar experience?

The fact that the connections from the PATCO stations on Locust to the larger concourse are blocked is such an abject failure of city governance

In today’s episode of “we shouldn’t have to live like this.”

Been a minute since I rode PATCO but having to go up to the street to get to a station you can see from the closed gates is a bit infuriating. Can’t even blame DRPA considering the city allowed people to set up drug dens with couches and garbage during the pandemic years.

We shouldn’t have to deal with this

First is just now on the SW steps to the BSL concourse at Chesnut, 2nd is from Saturday on the Suburban still steps at 16th.

Public transit should not be a homeless shelter and toilet.

What’s up with the armed security guards at Storybook Land?

Seems a bit much especially considering they didn’t even check our bag going in. Am I missing something?

Indoor cam constantly losing WiFi connection with no way to reconnect without manually pressing button and resetting

Am I missing something or are these cameras just hot garbage? I can return it before Thursday and I’m inclined to since it can’t even seemingly go an entire day without losing connection

Indoor camera constantly losing connection - is there no way for it to reconnect without manually pressing button?

Like wtf is with this thing? It’ll be working just fine, then randomly lose connection in the middle of the night and there’s not way to reestablish without opening the app and reconnecting to WiFi like it was a new setup. The connection losses are annoying enough, why can’t it handle reconnecting on its own?

Any chance the mass stabbing in Penn Station NYC changes SEPTA/city policy towards clearly deranged homeless people on public transit and other public spaces?

Nah, who we kidding. What happened was basically the thing that every sensible person has been saying would happen for years now.

Any chance Chase would give The Edit credit for a “Pay Later” booking if the hotel took a deposit at the time of booking?

Basically, booked The Cosmo in Vegas using Pay Later not realizing The Edit credit requires you to use Pay Now until months after the fact. Could easily Pay Now if i rebook but I’m a little worried the deposit already taken will be a hassle to get back and would rather not chance it.
