To continue a trend - is this fine art?

I certainly made the photograph rather than simply took it but I'm not sure it really fits.

diving into MF!

hello everyone! i’ve been shooting 35mm for a while, and i’ve experimented with MF a few times using some of the cameras from my dad’s collection (mostly a yashica-124), but now i wanna get my own camera. my budget is 350€, and i’m fine with TLR’s if it makes more sense for my budget.
obviously also fine with not having a built-in meter.

currently, these are for sale near me in good condition, from a reputable shop and with 6 months warranty:
- Rolleicord VB 75mm 3.5 Xenar, for 350
- Kiev 88CM with 80mm 2.8 arsat-C, for 280
- Zenza Bronica with 75mm 2.8, viewfinder and side grip, for 350
- Mamiya c33 with 65mm 3.5, for 320

are any of these particularly good deals? should i keep my eye out for anything else? i’m not in a particular rush, i can wait for something specific to
pop up for sale. i don’t mind buying from private locally either, just couldn’t find anything that made sense in my budget.

My dad’s collection!

helping my dad to move so thought i’d share his wonderful collection! he has a few things that are’t shown here, like a couple more polaroid cameras, a Nikon FM3a and a Olympus MJU-2 that are sitting at home with me (i use them regularly). the 1961 Canonet is mine (also in perfect working condition AND with meter that still works), but i left the box there because i thought it fit nicely.

he used to be a professional photographer, then with the rise of digital had to quit as work just wasn’t enough anymore. now does something completely different, but still has passion for photography and especially old cameras!
most of these are in working condition, though they aren’t used often but they’re all kept in a low-humidity environment.

i’ve been working professionally for 5 years now and my trusty r6 has been by my side for 4 of those.

it has however reached almost 500k shots and i can’t afford to have it fail in the middle of a shoot, so i’m looking to replace it and get an upgrade in the meantime, especially since i can sell it to a friend who doesn’t care for a good amount. for reference, i shoot events, concerts, commercial and automotive, about 60/40 photo/video. i don’t really have any complaints with the R6 and i don’t feel it limits my possibilities.

however:

- higher resolution would be nice, sometimes i wanna crop a bit more than what 20 MP allows.

- sometimes the autofocus fucks up. a newer version of AF would be nice.

- usable electronic shutter with little to no rolling would be very nice, as it would allow me to potentially make the new camera last as long as i want to.

- photo/video switch is a must. (but that basically only rules out R5I)

at this point, i’ve narrowed it down to the r6II or the r5II. i don’t have any budget constraints, but i also don’t wanna overspend; i had considered the r6III, but the r5II makes it basically not worth as it’s just 600€ more. for reference, the r6II would run me about 1300€ and the r5II 2800€. the r6III would be 2200€.

would the r6II allow me to do everything i need? yes.

but the extra megapixels, newer af, stacked sensor and fast readout speed, clog 2 and pre-shooting of the R5II are very very VERY attractive.

my main reasoning for leaning towards the R5II is the stacked sensor. if the one and only reason i’m getting rid of my R6 is because the shutter is about to fail, then the R5II becomes a potentially “infinite” camera, since it would allow me to always use the electronic shutter instead, especially since you can sync flash to it.

i also have already considered the increased memory costs for the r5II and am fine with that.

i have also tried the R5II out and brought home the files, was happy enough with the low-light performance.

does this make sense? am i just having a GAS episode and should i re-consider the r6II or III?

or is the R5II the better fit for my needs?
