Franklin Township: a minimum 50 Flock cameras (number keeps changing). Signed a contract till 2028. They dont include the contract alternatives to flock (Motorola etc) that they also have.

Most cameras are in the areas with those vulnerable to Ice.

The view from inside Edison’s municipal building during last night’s emergency budget meeting.

So many people showed up for Thursday's emergency meeting that the township set up an overflow room in the hallway. From firefighters to parents whose kids lost summer camp days, residents described a week defined by fear, betrayal, and disbelief.

Perhaps New Brunswick should attach initiatives that can provide services and assistance for the unhoused?

Targeted enforcement of loitering etc seems like a page out of early 90s Giuliani callous playbook in NYC.

Side note—irrespective of their living situation they are citizens—many of whom voted in this past primary.

New Brunswick Today Wins 1st Amendment Case vs New Brunswick BOE

After appeal, a judge’s order Thursday scales back an initial demand by New Brunswick’s school district that barred publication New Brunswick Today and its publisher Charlie Kratovil from publishing a video in which a
student had a weapon on school grounds.

Not an all out victory but a victory nonetheless. NYtimes article details first amendement concerns:

North Brunswick Residents Show Up—Data Center a NoGo

Cool to see citizens show up and for four hours spoke out against the data center. Speakers ranged from ages 10 to Octogenarians.

Council voted to table ordinance 26-13 allowing for the build of a data center in a redevelopment lot (100 Fidelity Plaza).

The ordinance is to be rewritten to prohibit data centers at the next meeting.

Shout out to everyone who signed petitions, shared information, showed up, spoke up online and at the meeting
