Cool to see citizens show up and for four hours spoke out against the data center. Speakers ranged from ages 10 to Octogenarians.
Council voted to table ordinance 26-13 allowing for the build of a data center in a redevelopment lot (100 Fidelity Plaza).
The ordinance is to be rewritten to prohibit data centers at the next meeting.
Shout out to everyone who signed petitions, shared information, showed up, spoke up online and at the meeting
Yes, he brought the stick into the car when we left 😆
Quickly put together this petition—but Id like to insure signatures of support and even greater turnout on 6.29.26 at 710 Hermann Rd, North Brunswick, NJ to 86 this Data Center.
DM if you have specific questions or need more details.

A post was just removed of folks offering insights to a person looking to source and train their own service animal.
Im involved in a non profit that transforms shelter dogs into service animals. We provide end-to -end sourcing, training, and placement.
I thought the thread spoke to a disconnect between individuals seeking the assistance and relief of a service animal, while ignoring the insights of trainers speaking to the important of utility, practicality, and core function of a service animal.
May I offer an imperfect parallel: I have an aunt with a degenerative medical condition that throughout her lifetime has seen her devolve from leg dragging, to cane, to crutches, to wheelchair, to electric wheelchair, to electric wheelchairs that the user can manipulate optically.
Early on, we gifted her a one of one, intricately carved canes. Alas, we determined those beautiful canes didn’t have the medical grade properties to sustain the wear of daily use.
When she required a chair, we sought after cool designs that could fold in a certain manner etc. Inevitably she needed a chair that could be manipulated but with one hand, but also have the capacity to pivot, elevate, clear obstacles in daily life etc.
When we needed a vehicle, most agreed an SUV looked way cooler, had the cubic space to fit a chair, and could off-road (in theory). Nevertheless, we also accepted a minivan-by virtue of the sliding doors, interior spacing, quantity of ADA converted vehicles was the better choice.
Most agree a well balanced dog can excel at a wide breadth of tasks and make excellent workers and companions.
However, I encourage—especially those newly entering this space of training, sourcing, using service animals—to consider the practical.
How will the dog’s innate form and function help or potentially make more difficult my medical needs.
Listen to those who say, perhaps your whippet might not be the best dog for counterbalancing those who need walking assistance. I doubt anyone in this sub is just throwing stuff out there to i insult you or the dog.
Tl;dr
The dog matters. Breed questions and suggestions are valid and based on task, function, and breed.
