[Discussion] I honestly think rats are the only counter to chads(for a beginner) so in a way they create them

Im a noobie with little game time and not a good rig. I prefer to play solo. I almost always spawn in with minimal or leftover scav loadout because if I bring anything good, I lose it . I rather sell it.

Ive seen streamers , 'chads' who play the game, optimized vision, gear, running around in teams of 3, just bantering while beelining for the best loot spots. It' s close to COD style sometimes.

We do NOT play the game the same way. I enter usually later because my connection isnt the best, with my crappy gear and limited meds. High alert soon sneaks in as I start moving inside a place, every sound matters. I play stealthily because its the only way. I cant trade shots with more than two to three scavs usually before I run out of meds.

I find a few decent things and then start planning my exit, god forbid I have some task that requires me to go to a hotspot.

I try to avoid players usually but if one comes my way, for sure ambush is the only possible advantage I have and even that can fail through their hearing and superior armor. So I would 100% use stealth as a tactic. Does it make me a 'rat?' The only alternative is death.

But I dont camp specific spots nor extracts, I think thats cheap.

Every PMC extraction feels like a victory and I love the whole tension that stays with me throughout.

But I would also not play like this If I would be locked in with other solo players who are around my level and similar loadouts. If they want us all to run around like chickens then give us all the same gear, team size , or make a chad specific server, so they can all run and gun eachother.

How does everybody draw their hair and eyes style? Is it supposed to be original?

I was drawing mine, but as a noob I went to look for inspiration with the DBZ characters and noticed a template of Goku in all kind of styles; like Disney or Naruto and I was wondering, am I supposed to find my own face style, is that what people who make original characters do?

Is using capcut voice filters on your own voice, which I've read is 'AI' , is it frowned upon?

Ive recently stepped away from using all AI and decided to make my own animations, I cant draw at all and its a long process to draw and to even form a coherent minute, and it still looks awful (lol).

And that's fine, I actually love learning to draw and am feeling that AI might better be used for logical advancement but shouldnt touch creativity.

So Im trying to steer clear from all AI. However, Im making a silly little animation with different type of characters, and I voice all myself.

Ideally, I know, I should hire voice actors, but I have no budget and no audience and I work very impulsive at crazy random hours.

But I'm starting to see that logically my voice doesnt hit well for a wider range of characters, I can do some males, but never females or in this particular case, a cute cheeky talking refrigerator. If my own voice is used how it is, it takes away from my intent and it sounds ridiculous.

So finally the question: Using voice filters on my own voice. Fine or will I be outcasted by the anti AI mob (again, lol) ?

EDIT: never mind, The filter sounds too AI anyway. Im using my own. Thanks, downvotes and silence, good luck to all of you and your channels

ANybody still getting constant anti AI hate??

Man this is so disheartening. ALways the AI slop comments. I put effort in my scenes, consistency, stories, editing, its not mass produced stuff at all, i even have episodes.

ANd yeah ive blocked those words, still peek sometimes at the blocked comments and man, some people are on a crusade against it.

hated, cursed. For what? I'm also just a guy trying to make it, i put in a lot more effort than all the reaction and minecraft videos out there.

Is it really such a deterrent, even if the content is decent? I sometimes really doubt all this. SHouldI really start drawing stick figures? Unbelievable

ANd anti ai peeps, dont need to recommend or start giving pointless discussions here, would like to hear from fellow ai creators . THanks

Edit : ok thanks. Saw some different perspectives and i should just not focus on the negative, especially if there is nothing like constructive feedback.

Also still some hate, cant avoid it apparently.

Anyway thanks people. Spirits lifted. Wish you all the best

Who does all the major 'guilds ' in one playthrough and how to justify from an rp POV?

Im building a kind of modlist that i want to do all the content with and want to do everything this time.

Im a spellsword with some sneak/illusion mixed in meaning i fit the companions (one handed sword) , the mages ( a ton of spell choices for left hand) and i dont shy from opening an attack from stealth or to crowd control with illusion (thieves).

Im in short of money so joined companions for the coin (they want me to clear out a vampires nest however and thats just not happening right now on my current modlist).

Mages guild makes sense anytime for this character.

But i never have real motivation to rebuild glory to some thieves' guild that i dont care 2 sh*ts about. Nor the dark brotherhood.

Is there somebody here that rp's a bit and does everything. What kind of character was it?

Thanks, just curious.

Edit : Just thought of 2 possible ways :

  1. the character starts out poor and hungry and is mixed up with the thieves and is maybe treated badly so ends up not minding the ways of the DB and then later on regrets it and wishes to be more honorable.

  2. a 'the end justify the means' kind of thing where' the player is on a hell bent mission for revenge and sees the thieves and DB as necesssary evils to improve his wealth and skills, influence to get to his eventual target. SOmething like that

Thanks everyone for replying

Can somebody tell me how to get rid of the 'activator pop up'

I want a more immersive experience and I'm tired of stuff pop up when I approach something 'Open door' 'harvest lavender' 'open chest'. Ive tried several mods but they dont do anything in VR

I tried this in the config.ini :

[VR]

fActivateRolloverHMDScale=0.0000

fActivateRolloverWandScale=0.0000

fActivateRolloverSecondaryScale=0.0000

[VRUI]

fActivateQueueX=9999.0000

fActivateQueueY=9999.0000

fActivateQueueZ=9999.0000

but that doesnt do anything (AI suggestion) , can somebody help me out? Thanks

which kind of playthrough are you guys currently enjoying?

Man, I love his game sometimes. Just with some small tweaks/ mods this game can still be experienced in such a different way. Here are some changes I made that make this playthrough a bit different

- I always loved darkness in my nights and dungeons and always modded it so but this time i just simply put the brightness down in game and then put a mod for the existing light sources and so to emit more light, so torches are brighter.

- this is so fun and makes dungeons and nights scarier. I went out at midnight and to my surprise it was clouded so it was nearly pitch black, untill I carried my torch. never had this experience in the game before, i was desperately making my way to the nearest village

- hell yeah im doing stealth stuff with this way of playing: I'm crawling through the darkness (irl, I have Vrocker) and I nerfed my own arrow damage (simply Balanced mod) so I cant be a OP stealth archer, but even so, crosshair disabled and trying to line up a shot in that darkness is a skill. Now it make a lot more sense that enemies cant see you when you're so close . Dagger is not nerfed so have to kill up close and personal lol.

- Health bars are disabled because i want to fight the person, not the health bar. Would be great if i could find a good mod that shows injuries if enemies are hurt?

- finally combat is more fun. I have pseudo parry VR mod (configured to make it more difficult to parry) and physical dodge, with a 1 second slow time set, which makes my double sword wielding one on one combat more intense, I also play on master and have mods going that make enemies smarter. If i dont dodge or pary, it's going to hurt.

- to my surprise that low brightness does not break the day brightness, everything looks very clean and good and shadows are truely dark.

- I love that while in flatscreen we just hold W to rush to get through quests, and here I'm actually strolling next to the river, admiring the sights, lining up a shot to kill a wolf, then just sit next to the running water and have a water IRL.

Ok, well, just wanted to share with this community .

What about you guys? Did you guys find a new mod or playstyle that you love? WHat are you currently doing in SKyrim?

How is your current playthrough going?

Did you find a new build? Did you find new mods that refreshen the game? Are you doing something completely different this time?

I know with skyrim and mods we are prone to restartitis and sometimes dont commit untill things feels right so Im curious how everybody's current game is going ?

I will go first:

- got the survival stuff, campfire, hunterborn, 3 combat mods and increased spawn mods

Which mod make it different for me this time?

- no pauses mod. You cant just freeze mid combat and eat 50 cheese wheels. You have to hotkey it and prepare. Love it

- shadow of skyrim: nemesis mod. Upon defeat you enter bleedout and might be revived by a follower if they survive or you are fully defeated and have a chanche to lose 20% -100% of your gear and money(configurable) + you respwan in a distant place. + the enemy that killed you is now buffed and is your nemesis and you have to get revenge to get your stuff back.

This is so awesome for me. No more savescumming + you can relive the zero to hero aspect again even in later levels.

So im right now traveling with uthgerd. But some bandit camps are packed so i might need one more follower.

Oh yeah and true hud, giving a light lock on system and cleaner hud.

Love these mods.

So what are you guys doing right now?

please help me find a difficult but rewarding combat mod (SE)

I want enemies to be better, they are so bad , no matter what mod or mod combat i install.

Bows, not even stealth, are constantly op, its not fun.

I went into embershard mine with increased spawns and was just light armor 2 handed wailing and mowing them all down like a scythe cutting grass. It sucks.

right now i have :

- combat mods :

-> Ultimate combat / revenge of the enemies (disabled for now (does nothing)) + Enemy revolution of skyrim +smart NPC potion +know your enemies

+ slower bows because the bows are too OP
+ skyrim souls, no pausing menus

+party of four - harder bosses

- spawn mods :

--> OBIS +savage skyrim +extended encounters + genesis unleashed

the UC mod does sometimes have some fun 1 to 1 combat when they have a shield as they block better but thats it.

I dont want to be OP at level 1 , I want hard + epic + rewarding fights . I want to come back with a party if it's too hard. I aim this playthorugh to be at least with 2 -3 followers.

Please give me some tips that isnt just damage sponges. Or is that the only answer here?

Thanks a lot

Do you guys also play like this?

Skyrim is my most played game. I have multiple editions on pc also on xbox and also the vr edition.

Yet i can put in 100 mods or even go vanilla but this must be the most played line ive ever played in any game.

I always do helgen --> three bandits --> standing stones --> embershard mine --> riverwood --> bleak falls barrows --> riverwood --> make sure i touch the giant so aella doesnt disapprove lol --> get into whiterun and then gathering the quests there nd the dialogue I have done so many times and just basically halts the game in its track, lose motivation or start to nitpick about possible other playstyles and restart or quit.

I just cant bear that same whiterun scene anymore. Too much lol, at least the beginning is action packed.

Its funny because in my mind skyrim is this massive endless epic game open world and it kinda is but i just railroad it and then get bored when i get to the 'open part'. I thibk i would like it more if it sjust nonstop dungeons. No more long empty travels and repetitve dialogue.
