I love hard sci-fi and have read almost everything in it. But at the same time I also love The X-Files, X-Com, Terra Invicta and the ideas about UFOs from the 60s. And I would like to combine them.

In your opinion, which sci-fi work had the most realistic alien invasion?

I came up with a pacifist challenge where beavers would be pacifists towards the Earth. That means:

• no demolition of buildings,
• no use of dynamite,
• no closing of bad water sources.

Should I add something else, or will that be enough of a challenge?

Lebo je to len ďalšia vec, ktorá odvádza pozornosť od reálnych problémov tejto krajiny.

Ako to vzniklo:

• Fico bez dôkazov obvinil Samčekovu partnerku a jeho, že kradnú, dokonca ho odvolali z postu nejakého tajomníka
• Potom bez dôkazov obvinil aj jeho matku a povedal, že keby niekto v jeho rodine berie peniaze od štátu tak odstúpi.
• Gašpar poslal SIS na svojich politických oponentov (tak ako za minulej vlády)
• Zastavme korupciu a PS odhalilo Ficovho Syna a ďalších Smerakov a Hlasakov, čo majú kade tade synov a manželky – a vyzvali Fica aby odstúpil na základe jeho vlastných slov
• ...

Tu ani nešlo o to, že Strana platí svojich členov, ale o vyjadrenia Fica o odstúpení.

Reálne mi ani nevadí, že strana svoje peniaze niekomu zaplatí – pokiaľ je to transparetne a súhlasia s tým členovia. Mňa trápi, že peniaze na vedu skončia v pekárni kamaráta Hlasu, mňa trápi, že sa rozjebali peniaze na sanitky a nemocnice, mňa trápi, že som smeromafia dováža firmy z diktatúr, mňa trápi, že Migral totálne vytuneloval IT a nie lenže nič nemáme, snaží sa spreneveriť 654 miliónov za niečo čo už dávno máme.

PS: Pre tych, co stale placu, ze PS nerobi dobru opozicnu politiku a neodhaluju kauzy Smeru, tak si laiknite niektoreho poslanca z PS a zistite, ze to robia neustale.

Čo som čítal a páčilo sa mi: Expanzia - James S. A. Corey, Diaspora - Greg Egan, Liou Cch'-sin, Asimov, Andy Weir, Adrian Tchaikovsky, František Kotleta, Bobyverse, Accelerando - Charles Stross, Odhalený vesmír - Alastair Reynolds.

Čo som čítal a nepáčilo sa mi: Sylvain Neuvel, Sedmeroev - Neal Stephenson, Mycelium, Hyperion, Duna 2+.

Otazka padla tu, ale zaujima ma to, hlavne od ludi, ktori robia pohovori/nabor.

I've been thinking a lot about the fact that when it comes to power, FT have it a lot easier thanks to the Wind Turbine. That's why I'm hoping that if someone wants to make a mod that would add a building to get power directly from the bad water source instead of releasing it outside (something like geothermal energy).

I thought of it in the Oasis map, where FT can easily close all bad water sources, and have permanent powered drills through the Wind Turbine.

Since FT has a Badwater Rig, it would be a good fit.

PS: I think that IT and FT are balanced but different. The evidence for this is that opinions regularly appear here that one or the other faction is better.

It occurred to me that the Xenonauts 2 lack a mod for different types of ammunition (where it makes sense - armor piercing, tracer rounds, incendiary/phosphorus ammunition) and having such a special magazine would bring some bonuses to the soldier.

What do you think about this mode?

Do you use API automation for anything? As a programmer, it's easy, but I haven't found a reason to use it yet.
