Service Engine Message and Light - 2018 Manual Pop

Yesterday evening I started my car to drive home from work and the service engine message came on. The light is on, steady, not blinking. I drove it to work this morning. It has 94,000 miles, 2018 turbo, manual transmission. I just purchased this car two weeks ago from a friend who said it had regular maintenance and oil changes etc.

It’s not overheating to or driving oddly. Not shaking, no weird smells and accelerating and shifting normally. I checked the gas cap and it was tight. I’ve ordered a code reader that arrives tomorrow. Does anyone know what it might be? Where is the best place to take it? The Chrysler/Fiat dealership? What do I even ask a mechanic? This car lives where I work which is a different part of the country than where I actually live so I can’t take it to where I usually take the Fiat who lives at home.

QVC Loaf Pan Cancelled

I saw the post about the loaf pans a few days ago and ordered a couple. Well… QVC just cancelled my order. I feel like they should have honoured what was listed. Has anyone else had their order cancelled?

Driver drove off with my order?

I ordered last night as I was exhausted and unwell after returning home after working a two week shift.

My order was around around 8 pm. The restaurant was 3 miles from my home. The delivery time kept getting pushed out more and more, though it said the restaurant was finished. The driver, a woman in a car, just sat in the same spot for over an hour. It just kept saying she was on the way to pick it up.

I contacted uber support and they said I had to wait until the latest delivery time possible to cancel. So, I waited. I contacted them after that time and they said she’d picked up my food and was on the way to me. On the map she still wasn’t moving.

I messaged her and she said it was rush hour. Mind you, I live in a city notorious for going to bed early. It’s Sunday night. It’s not rush hour. You can drive through town and there’s nobody out. She slowly starts moving on the map. I express to support after all this time my food is likely cold and inedible and I just want to go to bed. They tell me she’s nearby and to wait as it’s almost there. Five minutes before she’s supposed to arrive (according to the app) she cancels my order. No explanation. It’s now nearly 10. Did she just steal my food and drive away with it? Was she walking?

Uber offered me an immediate refund as money in the app. I prefer it back to my original method of payment so that will take days. I really think they owed me some sort of credit for all the hassle and then cancellation. They refused. I pay for uber one. What is the point? I don’t remember their customer service being this terrible.

I went to my local Trader Joe’s today after my sister alerted me to another post here about lefse. I was overjoyed to find it on the shelf. I have been asking Trader Joes for 20 years to stock lefse. Sometimes my father brings it back from Minnesota but my grandmother is 95 and doesn’t make it anymore. I tried and it was an abysmal failure and I don’t have the proper tools now.

I don’t want to dox myself or the lovely people who helped me but my crew member went above and beyond for me, she found some in the back and some more at another store. I have enough to share with my family. It has been a difficult couple of months for me and this was such a bright spot. At checkout, I joked with the crew member that I was not insane, with my cart of lefse and some produce. She knew lefse, her sister in law is from Minnesota. We might be the only Minnesotans in this town, far from home. I showed her a photo of my sister and I ice skating in our back yard when we were children.

I opened it as soon as I got home. I ate it cold with nothing on it. It smelled right. It tasted like home and family and childhood.

Thank you, Trader Joes. Your crew members are always so lovely. Sometimes you don’t know how much your kindness or a product might mean to us. Or maybe you did when you saw a grown woman shrieking ‘LEFSE’ and hugging a bag of potato flat bread in the bread aisle. Thank you. ♥️
