IJW: The Wicker Man (1973)

Actually I just rewatched this. And I reaffirmed to myself that it’s one of my top five films of all time.

If you haven’t seen The Wicker Man, a police officer investigates a disappearance on a remote British island… and that’s all I’ll say because the plot twist is unbelievable here.

Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee are amazing in this iconic film which is equal parts gripping, suspenseful, and terrifying.

There wasn’t a single minute in this film where I wasn’t wondering what’s going to happen next.

Hope (2026) - All the budget was spent on the set, the CGI was left with pennies

There’s so much wrong with this film…

First off, it took too long to reveal the ‘alien’. The build up was interesting, just too long. Then when it was revealed, it was like, ‘tf is this thing?’ It looked like a green Alice Cooper…

Then the plot kept changing from this persons story to another person and by the end I’m not sure who the movie was about. Even the aliens (who it turns out could talk but it took a few scenes of them talking for their chatter to be subtitled) had their plot. Oh and all these plot lines went unfinished.

But the cherry on this turd pie was the in CGI. We’re talking Spy Kids level CGI.

What do you think is the most reliable price action strategy or chart pattern?

Trying to focus in on one single strategy or pattern that is ideally very simple and works across stocks and forex.

Wondering what people may think is the most reliable strategy/pattern out there?

Best charting platforms for historical data?

I’m wondering if anyone knows a platform where I can look at years worth of small time frame data, say 1 and 5 minute charts. Trading view only goes back 20k candles max! Thanks

Exit indicators?

Curious to know what people use as exit indicators…

I get in a lot of good trades early but exit way too early as well.

I trade big tech stocks on the 1m chart. A natural exit indicator would say close above the 20/50/200 etc but that seems too unreliable.

Any suggestions?

Best chatbot for analysing trades?

I’ve been using ChatGPT to analyse trade entries and set ups. It’s okay but makes basic mistakes identifying certain things

Anybody recommend a chatbot that’s great for analysing trade set ups?

Best volume indicators to use with price action?

I’ve turned my trading almost entirely to price action but I want to get a better gauge on volume.

I’ve been trying out session volume profile and volume delta along with volume ticks.

What others/what combination of volume profiles have people had success with?

Using a trend filter

I trade on lower time frames but I’m experimenting with higher time frame trend filters. For example one I’ve been looking at is only take long on the five min time frame when price is above the 50ema, and the 50ema is above the 200 on the one hour time frame.

Anybody use something better or different to help filter out their trades?

How to define a quick price move in AI?

Trying to get AI chatbots to make me an indicator that alerts whenever there’s a sudden price move, but whatever conditions I give it, nothing seems to work.

I’ve tried a few different algos with no luck - multiple engulfing candles, moving x% within y candles. I just can’t figure out what to tell AI to make this script.

Any suggestions?

Skimming walls and plasterboard with this stuff

Got my whole house to skim and do up. Saving up for a plasterer for the whole will take years.

How close to the actual professional job will this stuff get me?

Conditions for pullback algo trading

Been working on a ton of pullback algos lately. Tried working it around price moves and then fib retracement, pure price action, EMA alignments and can’t seem to get something reliable.

Can anyone offer any tips on making algos for detecting pullbacks? Thanks
