Would you guys watch vermintide 2 content?

Im considering starting a youtube channel with one of my friends wanting to start one too and the others wanting to be in them. I love vermintide 2 and have enjoyed exploring it and learning and teaching, whether its in game, in real life teaching friends or teaching people on reddit.

What I have noticed, is vermintide 2 has a lot less content being made for it than other games despite being imo, quite good. The last video I have seen is someone shitting on this community because they keep getting bad games and bad players, generalising the few to the rest of us, which is unfair on both sides because they could be getting new players and I know so many people are amazing.

I have also noticed there hasnt been much educational content made recently, while theres plenty online in steam by our great cheese monarch, I think his guides do lack the example being used in game and making content can help demonstrate it.

So im thinking I can combine some funny moments and some educational stuff to make vermintide 2 content and hopefully with a bit of love and care, I can make some content you guys would like.

I remember watching a yt video about a VT2 tournament and finding the format interesting

basically they play a few helmgart maps and the difficulty depends on the map or smth from what I can remember

So out of curiosity, if you guys were chosen to help design a vermintide 2 tournament (versus or not, up to you) then what rules would you use and howd it work

So I was talking about what roles I would want in my squad as SL with my friend (not that I really care, just thought itd be interesting to theorise) and wondered what others thought.

So what is your ideal squad makeup?

My ones:

For offence: officer (obvs), support, rifleman, auto rifleman, AT with rocket

For defence: officer (obvs), support, engineer w fortifications, auto rifleman, AT with at gun, machine gunner

Im new and have got to level 8 and every single time I join people, I get constantly team killed over and over, I get called slurs and keep getting kicked before extraction. This has been the case every single time but one mission where I had nice teammates.

I stay with the team, dont friendly fire and use strategems that dont kill them and call in reinforcements as quick as I can

so am I really unlucky or is it really toxic

edit: apparently i am just really really unlucky and got more games with toxic teams than some of yall after hundreds of hours. damn...

Im trying to make her feel like she has any actual weight but she feels SO lackluster. I tried using damage trinkets, barely did anything, trying crit chance trinkets now and barely did anything again. Trying the sniper ring and bulls-eye hat now and barely getting anything still. Even when I use occultist or bounty hunter to mark targets, she still does so little damage compared to what I could be getting and feels like I might aswell just being a vestal for extra healing and stun with little change to damage.

Any tips?

I dont know why but over the past week the lowest ping ive had is 146 when usually it would be around 50-70ish. Doesnt matter when I play, morning afternoon or evening, I NEVER get a good game anymore. Im in the UK, use near games and small network packets since that helps yet constantly get 200+ ping with no wifi issues elsewhere and wired connection too so im fairly certain im meant to have low ping.

TLDR: takes ages for me and my friend to be able to olay a game of HLL, issues getting into and staying in a EUROPEAN server, lost recon due to issues making us relaunch game, requeue same server, all of command were incompetent racist asshole americans, squadmate was a racist asshole, shitty experience for playing with a friend compared to before.

First of all, let me run you through the process for me trying to play the game with my friend today.

We FINALLY have the time to actually play hell let loose after busy af tough week, load up the game, he joins my squad, we spend 10-20 mins waiting for a EU/UK server to have at most 4/6 in the queue so we can join without it disappearing and use in game party chat, we FINALLY get into one, we take recon, we get glitched out trying to report someone for shooting me after i rejected them from the squad because of the text box UI and calling me the N-Word, we rejoin the server 5 mins later, recon is not taken, we join a infantry squad and i take up officer cuz there is none, later joined by the friendly firer. FINALLY playing the game so its an awful lot of effort just to start.

I thought it would be fine until theres 7 American officers, commander included, all being VERY racist and saying some very hateful things about damn near every country they could think of and other groups too.

The whole list of countries they managed to be racist about for anyone interested: England, Russia, Pakistan, Canada, Italy, Germany, Israel, Palestine, France, Mexico, Japan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Chile, Vietnam, Colombia, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Korea, Poland.

Plus more comments about Jews, black people and Asians and Muslims. And then some about women too, specifically glorifying raping them.

SEVERAL people in command chat are participating. I try to ignore it, and report them for offensive language as the game goes on but as I mute them, some reason more Americans go on officer and keep participating in these convos.

Whats worse is they framed it as jokes, or "cracking in the new guy"(???)

Before muting however when I was unsure of whether or not they were ACTUALLY like that. I tried to call out an enemy supply drop behind our defensive point, and instantly got mocked and asked "Are you a paki from london?" in the usual american mocking an english accent.

This was basically the usual response when I tried to make any callout, like destroying the garrison they put up or enemy infantry. This lead to me having to 2v8 (infantry and recon squad) with my friend as my squad didnt listen and I gave up making callouts instead using multiple marks on the map. Eventually we capture 3rd point but I stay on defense knowing the recon wanted to get the garrison so I keep my OP on 2nd point to fight the recon.

This made the guy who team killed me earlier NOT HAPPY. Unfortunately, I could not discuss anything with him, because his mic was ALL the way up, I could only understand he was PISSED by his tone so I tried telling him to turn his mic down. This was promptly met by multiple insults towards me like pedo, the n-word and a f slur against gays. Eventually he does and he wants a new OP but i explain what im doing and hes pissed but shuts up.

Thankfully, there was two other SLs who had a brain and wasnt a fucking bastard, who didnt participate in hate speech and actually played the game who helped defend or whatever but they didnt even speak in prox when I tried to thank them for not being assholes.

Unfortunately, those other two were not enough and it turned into a defending last point, which only happened because my friend and another support dropped supplies on point for a garry and backup to place more if needed which was needed very quickly so we lost 1-4 but very close to 0-5. During this time, only me and the other two normal SLs were on point.

Ik some people suggest to play in a community server but theres exactly two servers that speak english with not abyssmal ping, one is ALWAYS dead with less than 5 members all the time and the other is ALWAYS difficult af to get into and almost constantly 6/6 anyways leaving that a rare treat if we both play it.

I endured all of this because I knew this was the ONLY devent server we had because at the time there was 4 servers, one we played, one with 7 people in, the perma full community server and the perma dead community server.

​

If there were just more decent servers or queues were done via parties not individuals then it be so much less of an issue.

what i mean is when you have spawned in but then at the end of the countdown, it spawns you but freezes your game and takes ages for you to actually spawn in properly.

idk why this happens but its already happened to more 30+ times now in the past 2 days

im currently on week 37, i just fought the siren. and the second tragedy happened.

reynauld died to the siren.

who was at 1 hp...

why?

cuz my replacement fuckwad highwayman got charmed and point blank shot him to deaths door with a 53 crit, the siren was at 1 hp. Reynauld was one mission away from level 6.

Now only my Vestal remains of the original 4.

edit: also the fucking irony is i was trying to get the holy orders for him. FUUUUU-

So I know overconfidence is a brutal killer or whatever the line is and my situation is bound to change for the worse cuz this is like basically my first playthrough.

Atm on week 25, I havent had a single death, Reynauld and Dismas are still alive :D

Ive been trying to upgrade my heroes with skills that work well together like using plague doctor and highwaymen to do lots of damage. Ive killed the first hag boss and necromancer. I have a few good trinkets for a few heroes. I tend to have around 10k gold but low on portraits and other things.

edit: plague doctor became masochistic and slit his own throat at camp. basically he killed himself and refused every attempt to heal and then we got ambushed.

edit: dismas died cuz vestal got stunned over and over. :D

Look I get that they can be great tools to make the game easier but FFS they arent a "use EVERY single one otherwise you all die in pain and agony" thing.

The amount of times someone has died because they tried to hit and throw a barrel into a horde, only to get stabbed from behind where they shouldve been fighting normally and then downed, then having the barrel explode reducing EVERYONE's hp is ridiculous.

All you do is sabotage the team because you some reason prioritise the barrel over your own life and pay the price for it.

IF YOU WANT TO USE A BARREL

put them in places away from the team where a horde is coming from and get someone to shoot it (preferably without using ammo ie moonfire bow)

put oil barrels in doorways/tight hallways BEHIND you so it doesnt stop you from progressing and helps solidify your back

throw lit barrels into patrols IF theres no horde

use them to knock monsters into the void if you are in a game where people dont care about rewards or as a last resort
