How do I fix this large gap? Whoever installed all of the interior doors in our house was most definitely drunk, and this is the worst of them. When the door is closed, there’s about 1/16” gap between the door and jamb.

Traded in a ‘21 Forester for the OBW and it’s amazing

I know people either love the new look or hate the new look without any in between, but I love it. I’ve always liked the thick black trim around a vehicles fenders, so this is a dream for that.

We went with the 23 option package strictly for the ventilated seats, which have paid for themselves already (in South Texas). The car is a nice interior size upgrade that doesn’t feel too big to drive. I also like that all the AC/heat/fan buttons are all physical buttons. When we went in to look at it, I didn’t really care much for the 360 view camera but turns out, it’s really useful.

But my favorite part about it so far is that once you put the car in reverse, both side mirrors automatically angle down so you can see the pavement. In my forester, I always hated either having to move the mirrors myself, or stretch my head towards the ceiling to try to see where my tires are in comparison to the parking lines.

Haven’t taken it off road yet, but rest assured, it will be treated as the Subaru Wilderness trim is intended to be treated.

Can I hope that this Monterrey Oak will recover from early damage? South Texas

Disclaimer: I know it is was planted too deep. I have uncovered what I can of the root flare(I think) earlier this year.

Planted this Monterrey Oak a couple years ago and it’s been growing fairly slow until early summer. As stated above, I know it was planted too deep and grass was growing up to the trunk, which I’m sure contributed to this damage. The wound faces the southwest, so I’m assuming it’s partially sun scald, too. I also can’t rule out weed whacker/lawn mower damage earlier in it’s life.

With that being said, it has finally started growing pretty well this summer and seems to be recovering. Is this wound something that will cause structural issues in 10, 20 years?

I’d like to keep it if it will probably be fine, but if it will likely be an issue once it gets bigger, I’d rather just replace it now.

Thanks for any info.

2 Tesla’s with what look like cameras mounted on top driving through San Antonio, about an hour south of Tesla’s gigafactory outside Austin.

The red Tesla had a human in it but I couldn’t tell if the gold one did as there seemed to be darker tint. Their speed was erratic, they were switching lanes randomly. I’m assuming maybe Tesla is testing some self driving features or new car?

Provisional pass - what worked for me

Before I begin, I want to say, if you’re waiting to take the exam, absolutely do not take what anyone here says regarding their specific exam they saw on test day, to heart. I’ve read it all; the QAE was way easier, the QAE was way harder, the exam was nothing like the QAE at all, the exam was very similar to the QAE, ISACA is purposefully confusing, blah blah. Nobody in this subreddit who is telling you what exactly to study, how the exam is formatted, the content of the exam, what you need to score in practice tests, or whatever knows ANYTHING about how ISACA administers them. All they know is what their specific exam was like. I’m sure ISACA has tons of versions of official exams to prevent people from coming to Reddit to tell others about it. Just study to understand the material and you’ll be fine. But I digress.

I took the CISA in the last 10 days and I am still waiting for final scores, but I saw the light; PASSED.

I’ve been in Big 4 audit for a couple years, have a Cybersecurity degree, and Sec+, which I think helped a lot.

I used Hemang Doshi’s Udemy course, mostly focusing on his review notes. His videos were hard for me to follow due to a heavy accent. But overall, it was great.

After that, I started with the QAE, where I averaged ~70%. Then I took the three practice tests 7 days before the test, 3 days before the test, and the night before. My scores were 70%, 75% and 63%.

I was definitely freaking out because of people in this subreddit saying you need to be scoring at least in the 80s to pass the exam. Unsurprisingly, listening to random people on the internet proved again to be non beneficial.

I won’t talk about any specific exam content, but I will say that you should absolutely NOT retake all the QAE questions and tests over and over again. Memorizing answers will not be beneficial (in my experience with the exam, at least). ISACA is VERY good at creating new questions and rephrasing others. If you understand the concepts of the material, you’ll be good. Just take your time and read the questions and every single answer. Seriously, read the questions multiple times if necessary. Like you’ve seen in the QAE, one word can change the entire question.

I flagged 40 questions and when I went back to review them, decided to just submit the exam because changing answers never works out for you.

Good luck to those that have the test coming up! Seriously, don’t psyche yourself out before the exam.

South TX, US

Found in the shower struggling to climb up the wall. Took it out and set it on the window cill where it dried itself off for a few minutes and vanished while I was trying to find what kind of spider it is.

Some kind of sac spider maybe? It’s about 1/2” long or so
