picked this up today. it is a panasonic ct-27sf12t1.

there is a mark a little bit left of the center of the screen.

I cannot feel it when I rub my fingers over it. I have tried a magic eraser, goo gone, isopropyl alcohol, and two different multi purpose cleaners and had no results.

it casts a shadow and is more visible when there are bright colors in the area.

does anyone know what this is? is it a scuff/scratch? would cerium oxide help remove it?

I have tried all purpose clean and goo gone to no avail

the tv does this on both video inputs. I also tried the same cables with a DVD player and it did the same thing. seems to go away when video is playing or perhaps it is just less noticeable??

unfortunately it does not seem my set has tilt or rotation settings

UPDATE: I opened her up and turned the yoke slightly. Happy with the results. It’s not perfect but as many have said on this sub before, I value my sanity too much to spend any more time on it.

**Important note that I learned elsewhere is that you need to let the set warm up for about 20 mins and give it some minor twists before the yoke will loosen enough to be turned freely.
