Bounty Hunter

Had a heck of a time with the decals, they were old and the edges kept tearing loose when I was aligning them. Had to do several modifications (cutting, sanding & cursing)to get the stance right. I have to more modifications to get the body to pivot up for display. Thanks for checking it out!

‘64 Mercury Marauder fastback by AMT

Hello, has anyone out there put this bad-boy together? The box it came in is very small, but it has lots of parts trees in it, I mean like this thing has a lot of pieces. I can’t find the actual part count but dam!
It’s a screw-down, another first for me. I had to purchase the instructions off of eBay, that is supposedly all that’s missing.
It has the option to be converted into a slot racing car as well.
Hmmmmm. This is a wild kit and I haven’t even started putting it together yet!

‘30 Ford Woody

Still sealed, I am not planning on opening this one…….yet. Although it does look like a cool kit. Anyone out there put this together before?

I have work to do

Man-oh-man am I excited!
I received these 3 beauties in the mail today. Won them on shopgoodwill.com, they have some good stuff over there, check them out sometime.
The only problem I see so far is that the ‘64 hardtop marauder is missing instructions.

Primer/paint dry time question

I’m trying to figure out how to get my primer/paint to dry quicker. A dehumidifier is ideal I hear, but what about using a hair dryer?
What are you guys doing? What type of humidifier is good?
I’m using rust-oleum primer out of the can and I use CREATEX paint with an airbrush.

White primer/white car delima

Long post, sorry,
I started working on a 66 Malibu SS last night and ran into a problem. I wanted to use white primer on this car and it’s white styrene so I wouldn’t be able to see where and how much I have applied.
The solution I came up with was to put marks on it with a DRY ERASE marker so I could see where I’ve painted and how much I’ve applied.
I thought it may be a good solution to prevent several coats of primer. I put it on a Facebook model group to get some feedback before I actually did it. I got some ideas on how others deal with this problem and I was told what a bad idea it was and that I should remove the marker due to bleed through.
I ended up leaving the dry eraser marks on the car, putting a coat of gray primer on first, then a coat of white primer. I’m not seeing any bleed through yet.
My thinking is this: this car will eventually end up with 2 coats of primer now, and 2 or 3 coats of paint. I really don’t think it’s going to bleed through. Although if it does, I’ll strip it and not use a marker in this situation ever again.
Anywho, just wanted to share this with y’all. Have a good day.

Found this jewel at target this evening. This thing is pretty sweet.
I didn’t really know that majorette was trying to be a player in the 1/64 die cast realm.

I gathered all of my red line club cars together and put them in one box (for now) I have 40 exactly. How many do you have?
