Weekend Café Hop or Beach Hangout – Near Navalur (Chennai)

Hiii

Looking to meet a few new people this upcoming weekend for a relaxed outing around the Navalur area.

Plan (depending on what the group prefers):
Cafe hopping – explore 2–3 nice cafés, grab coffee, chat, maybe play a board game.
OR
Beach evening – head to a nearby beach, enjoy the sunset, walk, and have some snacks.

When: This weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
Where: Around Navalur (cafés nearby or a short drive to the beach)
Group size: 4–8 people to keep it easy to socialize.

If you're:

  • New to Chennai
  • Looking to make friends
  • Enjoy good coffee, beaches, or casual conversations

...feel free to join!

Is Law and Order at Its Worst Right Now?

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I feel like the condition of law and order, civic sense, and public morality has deteriorated significantly in recent years.

We continue to witness horrific crimes against women, violent incidents, exam paper leaks, major accidents, and worsening air quality. Each new incident seems to dominate the headlines for a few days before people move on to the next one.

What concerns me most is the growing sense of numbness. It often feels as though people who raise uncomfortable questions face hostility rather than constructive discussion. At times, even stepping outside can feel unsafe, as if getting from point A to point B safely depends partly on luck.

This isn't meant to be a rant or an attack on any political party or government. I'm genuinely interested in hearing different perspectives. Do you think things have actually worsened, or are we simply more aware of these issues because of social media and 24/7 news coverage?
