My contactless Google Pay suddenly doesn't work on my China ROM 17 Pro Max

I have been using Xiaomi 17 pro max for 7 months now and near the start I had some problems with YouTube and Google Services but after some fixes it worked fine. Last night I updated Google pay and all of a sudden my Google pay doesn't work on NFC any more. I've tried installing older versions of Google pay, tried checking my Google integrity and other wallet like alipay or wechat works fine. So I don't know what changed over the update that renders Google pay completely not usable on my NFC and when I tried registering contactless payment on Google pay itself it says the device is does not support or the app does not support this device when it worked fine just 2 days ago. Please if anyone has the same problem or has encountered it before please help. 🙏🙏🙏😭

Update: go into you app in settings and search for Google play services. Once there, uninstall updates and reboot your phone. You will need to re login to all your Google accounts so have the password ready. Then until xiaomi or Google come up with countermeasures, don't update Google play services. Maybe turn off auto update in play store.

The measure is only temporary. https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/541604114

A commentor has reported the issue to google. Go to the website and click +1 to show that you're affected as well

This is by another commentor and I think it might be a hard fix.

If it can help, I solved the issue this way. It appears to be caused by a beta update, even though I had never knowingly joined any beta testing program.

Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences. Scroll down to History and tap Leave beta programs to exit all app beta testing programs at once.

After doing this, the problem was completely resolved, and Google Pay appeared again in the list of available NFC payment services.

Device details:

  • Xiaomi 17 Pro, China version
  • HyperOS 3.0.315
  • Google Play services 26.28.33

Hit a wall with my prototype

I am building the core mechanism of a hot food vending, now it is still the prototyping phase and essentially we want to use a robot arm to transfer a pancake from a cast iron pan on to a dumpling mold.

So the problem I am facing is how do I heat the pan without the pan moving when the robot arm comes to scrape the pancake onto the dumpling mold? And what heating source should I use? The pan needs to be 200 degree Celsius.

How accurate is ActiveSG's Body Composition Scan?

I recently did a scan with ActiveSG, my score was pretty good but I defintely didnt look as lean as the text results says I am. So I am curious as to how accurate it really is.

Does every Aether task on MM require hubstaff?

If you work on Aether you probably know what the MM stands for since the subreddit forbades mentioning clients so I can say it explicitly but yea does every task you do need to have hubstaff running?
