I got a parking ticket, is it similar to Daytona where it's just park anywhere except the specified areas? I see it says sec CARPK2 with a row and seat but the Road Atlanta map just has parking labels by turns.
I'm trying to use my pedal and base on linux so I don't need to dual boot every time I want to sim race. Currently all the buttons, knobs and paddles can get recognized in the terminal if I run sudo evtest I can put in the device number and everything work. However oversteer doesn't have anything come up. The base comes up if I just run evtest but doesn't work. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated everything including my OS.
Is there an overlay that can keep track of the number of incidents someone has? I just finished a race, where I was behind the leader and had no idea they needed to serve a drive through. If I had known I wouldn't have raced them as hard as I did and avoided my own off tracks trying to stay as close as possible.
I don't fully think that it is an intentional wreck but would it fit another category? Yellow flags were out and he stayed full throttle until like 2 seconds before impact and didn't try to avoid until like half a second before impact.
Personally I think that they were already going somewhat wide letting me ride the curb. I lifted to make sure I would stay on the curb. However from their cockpit view they add a sudden steering input left that blocks me and causes the contact before I can fully react. From my point of view I thought I was along side maybe a second after I pulled left to take the line.
Basically what the title says. Out of high school I was deciding between game design and engineering. I ended up doing game design. I now have a stable job in IT because covid messed up the game design job market. Now I want to go back and to mechanical engineering. I live in Florida, got my original degree from UCF and graduated in 2024. I know my GENEDS will be different and would probably have to take some math classes.
My question is, what would be the best way to go back. Ideally I'd like to do it online for as long as possible since my work is mon - fri 11:30 to 20:00. I'd be ok with taking a morning class, my job is around 30-40 minutes from UCF.
Work schedule changed and now can go to Road Atlanta. I'm going to be driving around 6 hours on Friday getting the the area at around 1AM. Any tips for what to expect from accommodations, driving to the circuit, parking and the circuit itself and what to expect. I've gone to Daytona and Sebring already so not totally new to the endurance races.
