SC live 4 + LC6000 as home setup.

I am currently trying to figure out an setup for myself for my livingroom and SC Live 4 + LC6000 sounds like exactly what i want.

Ive been searching for a lot of info and am looking for someone who has played with this setup as a 3-deck standalone setup to share their experience with it.

I want to buy myself an secondary rig that has standalone capability, but also works with Djay. Has full controls for at least 3 decks (im tired of swapping layers to use my 3rd deck), can do streaming services and doesen't take too much space. I would be using the builtin speakers alongside my minirigs and the setup would never leave my Living Room.

Budget here isn not really an consideration but Pioneer products are banned in my household. I've been eyeing the prime 4+ as well, but i feel like its just too big in size for this purpose. I'll be setting it down on an Ikea Fjällbö counter that is 46cm in depth. I dont mind if the build quality is not fit for gigs, plastic is fine.

I am also bit concerned about the height difference of the controller+player. Is there an easy solution i can buy for this with minimal effort?

Im used to analyzing my stems with Nuo Stems for my Traktor setup which ive used for nearly 2 decades, so im curious if i could easily adopt that part of the workflow for this setup too if i use Lexicon to convert my library?

Ive never used Engine in my life, so i really dont know what its capable of.

Thanks in advance!

How would you build this?

Hello,

Ive started playing the game again after 200+ hours in the past (never actually finished the game) and im playing with Psykers of the Expanse mod.

I want to make an 2hander nurgle psyker/tank with high wisdom and toughness for the run. I want to tank and spread nurgles rot everywhere but im struggling with how to build it.

Currently im playing as blade singer, but am thinking maybe warrior/archmilitant is the way to go.

Any tips how to make this as potent as possible? Im terrible at builds with owlcat games but really want to cook something myself this time around.

Bringing my girlfriend to her first rave. Liquicity festival 2026

Hello,

This is my first liquicity festival and it's also been a good while since i went for an electronic music festival myself.

I myself am an DnB DJ and i've been obsessed with it since the early 2000's, i know the artists and the music by heart, however my girlfriend does like the music well enough and loves to dance, but she is not as deep in it as i am.

We are in our 40's and staying in a hotel in Alkmaar with all the luxuries and i want to make it the best possible experience for her. What things should i consider?

Also, if there are any couples staying around in the Alkmaar area for the festival, we would not mind meeting up and going to the festival together on saturday/sunday (we're skipping friday). We are very chill but slightly bit introverted people. We got no interest in doing all nighters, but would absolutely spend most of our time in a nice coffee shop, bar or restraurant when we are not in festival area.

Any tips are most welcome :)

Bad transition tricks and how to recover?

Ive been mixing a good while, but i just realised im not very good with recovery from bad transitions. I can EQ my way out of most things like a champ, but if my phrasing is off due to bad cuepoint/grid placement or if a tune has some very high frequency high sweeps or swooshing sounds coming in unexpectedly, im finding it very hard to make the mix sound good.

How do you recover from mistakes or unexpected events from a track you dont know that well?

Lately stems have been my saving grace and fading out a track with some echo or delay might work, but it is never guaranteed and im not usually too happy with the result.

Do you have any ticks up your sleeve that you could share?

Need some tips on traktor autogain.

I've been using traktor for a good while and have often used autogain without any issues. However, i recorded an mix yesterday and noticed that my left channel was very muffled like it had an very tight compressor on it. What could cause it? First i thought there was something wrong with my monitors, but that was not the case.

After i restarted my traktor, i noticed that the channel was indeed set to +4.7db which was not visible before the restart. Is it possible that the autogain just somehow got stuck at such high volume amplification and applied some limiter on it while the view did not reflect it? Can this happen automatically somehow or have i just clicked something to set it myself without noticing? Does this happen often?

I usually dont need to touch the autogain much as i pre-process all my tracks through multiple softwares before they are added to my library.

The issue fixed itself after the restart, but im afraid it might happen again next time when im recording.

Hello,

I've been wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how to use cue point generator efficiently?

I've played around with it for couple days to try to get my trance/house collection in line, but the results of the auto cuepoint generator are very poor. These are genres i dont really play that often, but i'd love for them to be ready whenever i feel like playing them without spending days prepping them manually. My main library is all manually beatgridded very tightly, but it took me weeks to get there and im going through bit of an prep-exhaustion right now.

I am trying to figure out if the ultimate subscription is worth my time in the future, and so far it looks pretty bad. Currently the generator really struggles to finding drops and even first beat is lost to it some times. This eliminates a LOT of the options for using it. If i could get it to recognize the drop even 50% of the time, it would save me a decent amount of time while prepping, but currently its just not cutting it for me. I've tried it with various genres, and i feel like modern house oldskool trance are the genres that i would expect it to perform well at. I already gave up in even trying to get results with it with my dnb/breakbeat tunes.

So far, i've gotten best results just smashing cue points every 16 bars from the start, but i feel its bit excessive and even those need to be manually corrected every now and then. This saves a bit of time, but not enough to my liking.

Any tips on how to make the most out of it? What kind of templates you use?
