How best to decide on a surgeon?

UK based, I kind of just picked the first guy I heard of (Miles Berry). Is this a bad idea should I look into other surgeons? If so, how do I differentiate them and how do I pick? A bit overwhelmed 😭 thanks for advice in advance

Confused about healing timeline

Hey lads, sorry if this question is silly but I was wondering whether people know why there is such a huge discrepancy in how chests look at various points after surgery? I'm stressing because my surgery date is Sept 1st and I am starting at uni on Sept 25th, I've been browsing the sub to see peoples' results 25 days after surgery and there's such a huge difference, some guys look pretty much fine to return to life and have fading scars and some still have huge incisions, need for bandages etc. This isn't supposed to be rude at all but just wondering some of the factors that affect healing?

I'm 18, BMI of 23, pretty active and I go to the gym so have pretty well developed musculature. Have never been on T, my chest isn't huge but def not small enough for peri/keyhole. I think around cup size B but I've never measured. Going for double incision surgery.

Would anyone be able to provide some guidance about the healing process? I'm really anxious that this surgery means I won't have a good uni freshers experience which I'd really regret, but not having the surgery would also suck so I'm in a pretty tough place at the moment and it's making me really anxious. Thanks for reading and thank you in advance for any help

Best top surgeons in the UK

Hey, just wondering whether if any UK based guys can give their recommendations for best top surgeons? I'm most concerned about scarring and nipple placement and having a most cis looking chest as possible so if anyone has good experiences with a surgeon that is able to achieve that please let me know! Thanks

edit: My BMI is 23, I'm not fat per se but on the larger side with decent amount of muscle mass. I think I'm around a B cup. I am considering Miles Berry and have a consultation with him but am unsure how my results would look with him

A plea for kindness

Hey brothers,

I'm going to uni next year stealth and I'm terrified because I haven't yet had top surgery. I am paralyzed by the fear of not being able to be my authentic self or do anything I love because of chest dysphoria. I've wanted top surgery for as long as I can remember, but have never plucked up the courage to talk about this with family as they are already going through so much (including financially) and I didn't want to burden them further. But I'm currently going through multiple depressive episodes a day, crying and struggling and causing so much stress to myself and family that I've decided I've had enough and am ready be brave and to navigate this surgical route myself, just as my childhood self had prayed for every single day. Due to wanting the surgery before uni, the waiting lists have forced to go private which incurs a cost of £11k. I am already working a part time job to try and cover the costs but have become aware of the fact this won't be enough. I don't want to cause my parents more grief than I already have so am turning to you lovely people to offer me some support. I will be so indescribably grateful if you guys could contribute anything at all, small or big, or share this at least. The best thing about this community is that we've all probably been in similar situations once or twice in life, and therefore I trust you guys know how tough this is and understand how grateful I'll be. Once I reach my goals I promise to pay any kindness forward and to keep the cycle of support going. Here's the link to my GoFundMe, as said before I would appreciate anything: https://gofund.me/a4feaceec

Just a note that the photos on the page are largely anonymous as I'm planning to be stealth and therefore don't want to be identified 😅

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day

Stealth men - how much does the ‘dicklessness’ affect you?

I’m going to uni this year and thinking to be stealth. I am planning to have top surgery this summer and would love to stealth once I’m there. but what really bothers me is the fear of people discovering I don’t have a dick, for example in situations when going to the bathroom together, or camping trips, showering after sport etc. I wouldn’t know how to explain that and it also makes me realise maybe stealthing isn’t so easy and I should just tell them upfront to avoid any conflict. but I’m not sure about the frequency with which situations arise (like the ones I’ve just mentioned) where I could be ‘exposed’ in this way. I’ve thought about packing but it just seems like another thing to be worried about and im not sure whether it’s for me. im a little unsure - I’d really appreciate it if any guys in a similar position would be able to offer their thought/experience! Thanks so much
