Old school style survival horror games for PS5

I'm a big fan of the new indie survival horror games that follow the style and design of the PS1 and PS2 era horror games. Games I have already played and enjoyed are Signalis, Crow Country, Tormented Souls 1 and 2, Fear the Spotlight, Glass Staircase, Hollowbody and Alisa. I also have Ground Zero but I haven't played it yet. I'm looking for games with this style. Fixed camera systems, creative puzzles and resource management are the main things I'm looking for. Old school graphics and tank controls are also nice but I'm also okay with more modern controls and graphics.

I'm not looking for first person horror games or ports of PS2 or PS1 games. Just new survival horror games that are available on PS5.

Recommendations for old-school style survival horror games for PS5

I'm a big fan of the new indie survival horror games that follow the style and design of the PS1 and PS2 era horror games. While I liked Labyrinth of the Demon King and some of the Puppet Combo games, I'm not looking for more first person horror games. Any other games on PS5 that I should try?

What are some common gameplay mechanics you hate, or generally disliked mechanics that you like?

For me the one mechanic I can't stand is inertia in the movement. New Resident Evil games, Dragon Engine Yakuza games, MGS3 remake and so many other new games in series I used to enjoy have been ruined by making the basic movement feel horrible. The worst thing is that almost every modern action game has it. It makes sense to have it in racing games since those also have acceleration and brakes, and if it's very mild like in Yakuza 5, 0 or Kiwami 1 it's not too bad. But it's always frustrating when precision gets thrown in the trash to make games more "realistic" or "immersive".

I have noticed that many people dislike timers in games, which for me is hard to believe, since it's one of my favorite game mechanics. Same thing with permadeath.

What am I missing with Dangun Feveron?

I'm a big fan of CAVE and I have played most of their shmups. So I recently got the PS4 port of Dangun Feveron and I'm not enjoying it at all. I don't know if it's the visual style, the gameplay design or bullet patterns, but it just doesn't feel like a CAVE game, or even a good shmup.

Is there something I'm missing here? Did I start playing it with wrong expectations? Is the PS4 port a bad one and giving me wrong idea of this game? Is there some unique mechanic that I need to learn to have fun with the game? Or is the game just not for me? Because I know that many people love this game and so far it's the only CAVE game that I don't like. I want to like it but I just can't. Is there anything I should know to help me get started with this game?
