I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit I don’t know where else to ask this as of now.

I recently got a Miofive dashcam as a gift and it’s been fine but it’s a hongkong company and requires a constant connection to data/wifi and precise location sharing which are both big red flags. Does anyone know of any dashcams that work offline or has is similar to the Miofive but is trusted and private to store the drive sessions? Or even a homemade camera and self hosting it would be fine. If it helps I have an iPhone as of now

I get that an iPhone itself is fairly private (allegedly) but I know telemetry and stuff is sent to Apple, which isn’t ideal but I’d prefer them having and hogging it over another corp selling it. I personally like iOS over android and don’t want to switch to graphene. Is there any settings that would limit the data sent?

I’ve started to degoogle and really get into privacy, but of course YouTube is the biggest blockage. Does anyone know any good YouTube alts that still use the YouTube videos itself, something like freetube where you can import subscriptions, playlists, etc but also get new upload notifications and/or have an iOS app?

I updated to the iOS 27 beta and I do have the new Siri access, however I don’t have the expressive voice option for it. Does anyone know if that’s a separate waitlist or if it’s hidden behind a setting?

I set up a vocal shortcut in accessibility to trigger Siri on a custom name but I don’t want the shortcut notification popping up every time. I know you can disable in through the shortcuts app but I can’t find a way to trigger Siri on a different name in the app. Anyone know a way to fix this?
