My Jetta GLI IRL vs. Assetto Corsa
I downloaded a mod featuring the 2017 Jetta 2.0 TSI (equivalent to the Jetta GLI MK 6.5) and made some adjustments, since the car's behavior, especially the DSG transmission, didn't quite match the real-life version. After a few tweaks, it's uncanny how close it is.
It also made me realize that the Jetta 2.0 TSI has less power listed in its official specs than it actually delivers from the factory, a phenomenon well-known around here when this car is put on a dyno. It generally produces over 200 hp *after* drivetrain losses, when it should have had only 210 engine hp.
To match the performance of my stock car in real-world conditions, I had to adjust the torque curve, it was significantly underestimated and lacked low-end torque, precisely where the EA888 shines. The turbo was okay, the reference RPM was just a bit high.
I also had to adjust the gear ratios and wheel diameter (using the technical values,), and shift speeds, which made me realize just how fast the DSG really is, transferring torque between two clutches with a gear already pre-selected is insane.

But you'll probably have to make adjustments, just like I did, if you want performance that's true to reality. I noticed right away that the performance, and especially the gear shifting, didn't match my car.
Edit: No, I wasn't driving with one hand; the phone was resting between my chin and chest, and the video is obviously cropped. Notice how the phone even slides down at the end. And this was an empty highway that is not used except by farmers, who at that time are sleeping.
