It used to be before covid, then it was 8am-4pm for years, but someone just told me they do lunch break 12-1 again.

He went on to win.
I live in Thailand. I am ramping up my training for Dec 22 marathon here in Northern Thailand.
Just did 20km in 29-34c, 99% 94% humidity.
That's 1 degree below wet bulb temp (the temp/humidity combo that prevents sweat from evaporating) This is incorrect, see comments. I was misunderstanding wet bulb slightly
Holy shit man. I have done a lot of tropical running but today was almost traumatic. But i finished 20k with a bit of walking.
A lot of the world is now dealing with this phenomenon, particularly the tropics. I'll spare the politics, but it is provably due to climate change.
Just wonder how anyone else deals with temps and humidity like this?
My protip: smaller Frozen water bottle in water pack. it keeps the water, and ur back cold for at least an hour.
Process is pretty high. 550thb for thais and foreigners. It's clear they are using the money for the museum.
It starts with tons of historical photos and displays. Into modern thai art, and then through 3 very trippy and Fun light design rooms.
We are on JR tourist pass. We got a notification that the Takayama Nagoya route will 'experience significant reduction in service'
We plan to go to train station here first thing tomorrow AM. But just wondering if anyone has deeper insight. Wife and I are only on 2nd trip to japan, so this is a bit worrying for us. Not the end of the world if we get stuck in Takayama for a few days, but we'd be out a not insignificant amount of money on missed hotel reservations.
Thanks for any help, and hope everyone stays safe for the storm.
It's not that expensive. In usd terms about $90/lb
