Marathon race day shoe recommendation for slow runner.

Hi runners.

I'm planning to run my first marathon in 5 months.

Aiming for 4:30- 4:45

Currently I'm training with the Adidas Evo SL, Asics Novablast 6 and the Superblast 2.

What new shoes should I get for the race day?

I don't mind spending for a super shoe, but will it be useful for me? Or can I save my Superblast 2 for the race day which currently has done around 200kms?

Are Autocar India’s Elevate CVT mileage numbers realistic? Fellow owners, what’s your experience?

Autocar claims the Elevate CVT returned 8.6 km/l in the city and 13.1 km/l on the highway.

I simply don’t buy it.

My Elevate has never returned below 10 km/l in the city, and I regularly get 16–18 km/l on highways. I’ve seen plenty of owners report similar figures.

Either Autocar’s test conditions were unusually harsh, or their results are not representative of normal ownership. Publishing numbers this low without giving details like average speed, traffic conditions, idling time, or highway cruising speed makes the comparison difficult to interpret.

Elevate owners: What mileage are you getting? Are Autocar’s numbers anywhere close to your real-world experience?

Long drive review in Coastal Karnataka and Western Ghats.

Just wrapped up an ~850 km road trip through Coastal Karnataka, Goa, and the Western Ghats in my Honda Elevate VX CVT, and it was a fantastic experience.

The monsoon has transformed the region—lush green landscapes, misty hills, and countless small waterfalls flowing right beside the roads. Easily one of the most beautiful drives I've done.

The Elevate handled everything confidently. The CVT was smooth in traffic, relaxed on the highways, and never felt stressed climbing the ghat sections. Stability and ride comfort were excellent despite continuous rain and wet roads.

Trip stats:

- Total distance: ~850 km

- Ghat roads: ~250 km

- Overall fuel economy: 16.5 km/l

- Flat highway fuel economy: 18 km/l

For a naturally aspirated petrol CVT carrying passengers and luggage through monsoon conditions, I'm genuinely happy with both the performance and fuel efficiency. The mileage has improved now since the car has done around 3000kms compared to when it was new.

Anyone else using the Elevate CVT regularly in the hills or during the monsoons? How has your experience been?

Things I’ve noticed after 1 month and 1,500 km with the Elevate VX CVT.

I came to the Elevate from a 2020 Ford Ecosport 1.5 petrol MT, so a few observations from someone who has owned both.

Overall, I’m very happy with the Elevate. The space, visibility, ride quality and smooth CVT make it a great family car. That said, there are a few areas where I feel the Ecosport still had an edge:

  • The Ecosport felt more solid when shutting the doors. The Elevate isn’t flimsy by any means, but the Ford gave a more “vault-like” feel.
  • The roof rails on the Ecosport felt sturdy enough to hold while washing the roof. I instinctively tried the same on the Elevate once and quickly realized they’re not meant for that kind of load.
  • The ORVMs on my Elevate move surprisingly easily with light pressure while cleaning. I never noticed this on either the Ecosport or even a 2018 Honda City I owned earlier.
  • The audio system turns off immediately when the engine is switched off. In the Ecosport, it would continue playing until a door was opened, which I found convenient.

On the flip side, the Elevate is far smoother, roomier and more comfortable for long drives, and the naturally aspirated engine + CVT combination suits my usage perfectly.

Anyone else coming from a Ford or another solidly built car? What differences stood out to you?

Sold my car to Spinny. Now someone with my documents is asking for OTPs. (OC)

Sold my car to Spinny last month and completed all transfer formalities. Today I received a call and later WhatsApp message from a person claiming to be an RTO consultant. They sent photos of my actual vehicle registration and transfer documents and then asked about a ₹2000 RTO payment.

A few messages later, they said they needed an OTP to "release" the amount from Spinny. Obviously, I refused.

The scam attempt itself is easy to spot, but what worries me is that they had access to my genuine vehicle documents.

Has anyone else faced this after selling a vehicle through Spinny or another dealer? Is it common for third-party agents to have access to these documents, or should I be concerned about a data leak?

I've already decided not to share any OTPs, but wondering whether I should escalate this to Spinny.

Changes:
1- New Alloys.

2- New Headlamps

3- 1 type C in front and 2 below the rear AC vents. Wireless charger.

4- 360 camera.

5- bigger touchscreen and 360 camera.

6- ventilated seats.

I personally would pick the older model on discount. I like the looks of the older model. AC control with silver finish and diamond cut alloys look better.
New bigger touchscreen looks oddly placed.

Tyre profile remains same185 55 16.

Amazon Sunday deliveries in Udupi are a joke

Is anyone else facing this in Udupi?

If your Amazon order is supposed to arrive on a Sunday, chances are it isn’t actually getting delivered. For me, maybe 1 out of 10 Sunday “Out for Delivery” orders actually reaches my doorstep.

The usual pattern:

  • Morning: “Out for Delivery”
  • Whole day: no updates
  • Around 8:30–9:00 PM: delivery agent calls
  • You answer and… silence. No one speaks.
  • A few minutes later it shows “delivery attempted” or some vague update

It honestly feels like the call is just there to fool Amazon’s system into recording an attempt.

What’s more frustrating is that many of these orders then get stuck in transit for days and sometimes end up being returned completely. The package was already in the city and marked out for delivery — so what exactly happened?

The irritating part isn’t even the delay. Delays happen. But this system is ridiculous. Just be transparent.

If Sunday deliveries aren’t actually happening in a particular area, then don’t mark orders as “Out for Delivery” the whole day. Tell customers upfront: “Sunday delivery unavailable” or “delivery expected Monday.”

Anyone else seeing the same thing in Udupi?

VX CVT Delivered yesterday.

Finally got the Elevate VX CVT on 15.05.2026.

Delivery got delayed in late evening due to some issues at the RTO.

Feeling awesome. 💯😎

Booked an Uber at around 12:45 AM from the airport to Janakpuri. The fare estimate at booking was ₹420.

By the time I reached, the fare on the app had changed to ₹571 (same on my phone), so I paid, assuming it was due to normal fare recalculation.

Later, when I checked the trip receipt properly, I saw the trip had been marked as ending at a different location in Gurugram, even though I was actually dropped in Janakpuri — the destination I had originally booked.

That means the driver likely changed or manipulated the trip destination in-app to increase the fare while still dropping me at my actual location.

Big red flags:

- The person driving did not match the profile photo in the app.

- He was not using the Uber driver app openly and was navigating on Google Maps. He asked me to set the navigation in his phone.

- He was not reachable through the uber calling function and sent his number as message as asked to call before pickup.

- The trip record now shows a false drop location.

I’ve reported it to Uber and asked for a refund and strict action.

Please always check:

  1. The driver matches the app profile

  2. The trip destination remains unchanged during the ride

  3. The final receipt/location after the trip ends

Late-night rides make it easier for drivers to pull this off because you just want to get home.

Has anyone else faced destination tampering like this?

After days of test drives, comparisons, brochures, and dealership visits… finally booked the Honda Elevate VX CVT.

Current car: Ford EcoSport petrol 1.5. We have a Honda City, Kia Sonet and Tiago EV in the family.

Usage: family of 3 (wife + 2-year-old), so rear seat comfort and cabin space were major priorities.

Started with the Honda Amaze CVT because Honda’s CVT and reliability are well known, but the rear seat experience was underwhelming for us.

Then checked out the Skoda Kylaq AT. Good overall package and the rear seat was comfortable enough, but the cabin didn’t feel spacious. Somehow felt smaller from inside than I expected.

The sales guy then showed me the Skoda Kushaq Prestige 1.0 AT. The cabin looked premium and the rear seat was comfortable too, but in terms of overall space and feel, it wasn’t dramatically different from Kylaq. The price jump didn’t feel justified. Higher service costs and some reliability concerns also made me hesitant.

Then drove the Honda Elevate VX CVT today.

And that changed things.

It immediately felt like a proper big SUV. The Kushaq felt more like a raised hatchback in comparison. The Elevate cabin felt genuinely airy and spacious, especially at the rear. Ride quality and handling felt excellent, build felt solid, and the NA petrol + CVT combination felt smooth and stress-free.

VX variant had pretty much all the features I needed, and the LaneWatch camera felt genuinely useful while merging from highway onto service roads.

Got a discount of ₹1 lakh+, 360 camera, ambient lighting and booked it right away.

Costing 15L on road with BH registration.

Expecting delivery in 15-20 days

Car hunting is seriously exhausting. At this point, I don’t even feel like checking out the Renault Duster or Kia Seltos.

Sometimes the right car is the one that just feels right within the first few minutes.

Would love to hear from Elevate owners about long-term experience.
