Kobra X Nozzle Change

Kobra X Nozzle Change

I've seen too many posts of broken clips from brute force and lack of a good clean guide. So here's my contribution back.

Kobra X Nozzle Replacement Guide

How to replace the nozzle without breaking the retaining clip

Important: Do not force the retaining clips. If a clip requires significant force, stop and check the nozzle position.

1. Seat the nozzle

Firmly seat the nozzle into the heatsink. It should lay flat against the smooth edge, and the ribs should be fully inserted.

2. Partially close the upper heatsink latch

Close the upper heatsink latch about 3/4 of the way, not completely. The notch from the clip should fit into the groove.

3. Close the upper retaining clip

Close the retaining clip. It should close smoothly and secure the heatsink around the nozzle. If you have to force it, stop. The nozzle is not fully inserted.

4. Close the small lower-right latch

Close the small latch on the lower-right side.

5. Close the larger lower-left latch

Close the larger latch on the lower-left side after the right latch is secured. Both lower clips should now be fully closed.

6. Secure the silicone sock

Fit the silicone sock over the nozzle assembly. Make sure the sock is fully seated, then check the retaining notch on both the left and right sides. The sock helps retain heat around the hotend.

Done.

Alcohol Policy / Father’s Day Experience

I flagged this as “just venting” but let me say this.

I’M DONE

NO WALMART

CANCEL THE SAMS CLUB MEMBERSHIP

PERIOD

Costco and Target for me from now on.

So,

After spending my weekly ~$300 at Sam’s for a family of 5 we head to Walmart across the parking lot for a few small items.

I decide to grab a 12 pack of beer, it is Father’s Day after all.

Now being a 51 year old white male and a veteran, I’ve never experienced this in my life:

I specifically went to a “staffed” checkout to avoid the hassle of an alcohol purchase at the self checkout. The 18/19 year old cashier couldn’t scan it. I waited for the 20 something cashier to come over.

Then it happened. He request my wife and my stepson’s ID. WTF?

Ok. Fast forward for a min. I have read post-event about this being dependent on law and store policy.

Now with that being said. While the 20’ish cashier is inspecting my stepsons ID. I stop him. I speak to the cashier, she said it’s store policy and if anyone “looks like they can be of age, they have to have a valid ID”

Wait… So this 20 something cashier, who probably can’t tell if I’m 35 or 55 has the sole discretion to request my entire family’s ID’s because I decide to buy a 12 pack?

It just so happens that my stepson’s state ID is expired. Policy is they have to have a “valid id”

When did Walmart become police? At the discretion of the cashier?

I could have had my stepson pull out his passport being as he is from another country, but why?

I’m sorry, demanding my entire family’s ID to buy a beer while I’m grocery shopping?

What’s next? Is the convenience store clerk going to step outside and demand ID’s from everyone in my truck next?

Is Total Wine going to enter my house during a delivery and interrogate my household.

I’m done.

Sam’s, Walmart, Sam Walton, Whatever subsidiary companies they own, the Sam’s Pharmacy, The gas pumps. All of it. You will no longer receive a penny from this household.

You take that weekly Sam’s trip, monthly prescriptions, filling up my gas guzzling Hemi and add it all up.

You just lost an easy $1500 a month due to your “store policy” and empowering 20 something the ability to hold up the line and request the ID of my entire family on a $100 quick stop.

I will for the rest of my life give my money to the competition.

There will be no “wait in the car”. There will be no split checkouts. I mean I could have sent my wife to one checkout and went to another by myself just for the beer and they would have never known or asked for anyone else’s ID.

This is the most insane thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. As a citizen, as a veteran married to someone from another country things are currently tough enough. Now I need to explain passports, work permits, immigration process and delays to a minimum wage earning employee because my stepson “looks of age” ?

It’s a good thing I only had one of them with me or we would be holding up the line while they inspect ID’s of myself 51, my wife 50, my oldest stepson 25, my middle 21 and my stepdaughter 20 at the “employee’s discretion”.

Vent finished. Walmart Finished.

This isn’t over, this is but the beginning of my attitude and actions regarding this matter on the first social media platform.

Be prepared Walmart and your other holdings.

You Arkansas based, imported product peddling company.

Your profits will suffer more than just my $1500 a month that probably covers more than one employee’s monthly salary at what you pay them.

That's meant to be a joke..

Like the sensor itself is.

TPU Stops feeding? - Sensor doesn't trip

Multi-hour print without issues. "Clog Detected!"

"Resume"

10 mins later

"Clog Detected!"

It's now turned off, anyone else have this issue?
