It's hard to see in the picture, but on the top side of the bin it has a greyish greenish hue. It was never white, and hasnt been spreading at all over the last couple days, but it smells slightly off. I have it isolated for now.

It's been over 2 days since this cluster of side pins showed up, and I've yet to see the emergence of surface pins (or any more side pins, for that matter). Is this normal? When will I start to see more pins? This is my first grow, P. Ochras.

Running a comparison with 2 different genetics from 2 reputable vendors. Both colonized the rice relatively quickly, at around 13 days. They were both (possibly prematurely) S2B June 14th (14 days ago) with CVG at a 1:4 ratio with around 2.5" depth, and an additional 1/4" casing layer. Left side reached full colonization relatively quickly, soon displaying aerial mycelium over the first ~7 days (I suspect because I waited until ~50% colonization to move to fruiting). For the following week, the aerial mycelium settled into primordia, and primordia started popping up all over the tub. Last night, the first cluster of side pins (last photo) The right side, on the other hand, took longer to fully colonize ~12 days, and presented in a thick-ish (1/2-1/4") fluffy surface of overlay. Interested to see how these 2 runs differ. If you have any tips lmk! I've got 4 40qt bins of the left genetics worth of drippy corn ready to go, so let me know if you want to see some more experiments with those.
