18M | B.Com student at SD College, Chandigarh 📚

New in the Tricity and honestly… college life needs some good people + random plans + unnecessary bakchodi 😂

Looking for chill friends to hang out, explore Chandigarh, grab chai/food, study together (sometimes 😭), and make some good memories.

If you’re also looking for new friends, DMs are open! 🫂✨

Looking for friends from Jammu in Chandigarh (SD College) 👋

Hey everyone!

I'm from Jammu and currently studying B.Com (Hons.) at Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Chandigarh.

I'm looking to connect with other students from Jammu who are studying in colleges within Chandigarh city (not Mohali, Kharar, Zirakpur, etc.).

It would be great to make some friends, hang out, explore the city, celebrate festivals together, or just have people from home around.

If you're from Jammu and studying in PU, SD College, DAV, MCM, GGDSD, PEC, or any other Chandigarh college, drop a comment or DM me.

Looking forward to connecting! 😊

Title: Is Commerce Coaching a Good Career in a Tier-2 jammu City? Need Honest Advice

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some practical advice from people who have experience in the coaching industry, especially in tier-2 or tier-3 cities.

A little about me:

  • Graduated from Panjab University with B.Com (Specialization in Tax Planning & Management).
  • Scored 94.6% in Class 12 (Commerce).
  • Got admission offers from Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in the General (UR) category.
  • Cleared CA Foundation and CMA Foundation.
  • I genuinely enjoy explaining commerce concepts to others, especially Accounts, Business Studies, Economics, and basic CA Foundation topics.

My long-term goal is to prepare for CAT and eventually pursue an MBA. While preparing, I'm thinking of starting a commerce coaching institute (or initially teaching small batches from home/rented classroom) in my tier-2 city.

My target is to earn around ₹20k 30k per month within the first year if possible.

Some questions I have:

  1. Is coaching still a good career option in 2026, especially outside metro cities?
  2. Is there enough demand for Commerce coaching (Class 11–12 CBSE/State Board, CUET Commerce, CA Foundation basics)?
  3. How long does it usually take to build a good reputation and stable student base?
  4. Is ₹30k–40k/month a realistic target in the beginning?
  5. Should I also teach online through YouTube or recorded courses, or focus completely on offline coaching first?
  6. If you were starting from scratch today in a tier-2 city, what would you do differently?

I don't expect to become a millionaire overnight. I'm mainly looking for a stable income that can support me while I prepare for CAT and build something meaningful over the next few years.

I'd especially love to hear from people who actually run coaching classes or have experience teaching commerce.

Thanks in advance for any honest advice!

What if an SSC channel actually treated you like a human instead of a view? 💀

Every other SSC channel:

  • 🔥 "Crack SSC CGL in 30 Days!"
  • 🔥 "100% Selection Guaranteed!"
  • 🔥 "Watch this ONE SECRET before it's deleted!"

Meanwhile, the actual aspirant is wondering whether they should solve Quant, revise English, cry, or just refresh the SSC website for the 47th time today. 😭

So here's my idea.

I'm thinking of starting an SSC-only YouTube channel for CGL, CHSL, MTS, Stenographer, GD, Selection Post, CPO, etc.

But I don't want it to be another channel where I read PDFs for 40 minutes.

I want it to be the channel I wish I had when I started preparing.

What I'd cover:

  • 📚 Complete preparation strategy for beginners (from Day 1 to selection)
  • 🧠 Subject-wise roadmaps for Quant, Reasoning, English & GK
  • 📅 Detailed daily, weekly & monthly study plans
  • 📖 PYQ-based preparation (because SSC literally repeats patterns)
  • 🎯 Book recommendations that don't make you buy your own library
  • 📊 Mock test analysis & score improvement strategies
  • ❌ Common mistakes that waste months of preparation
  • 💼 Vacancy, exam pattern & salary updates explained simply
  • 🎥 Short, no-BS videos that get straight to the point
  • 🤝 Live doubt sessions & personalized guidance/counselling to help students build a realistic preparation plan (instead of random "just study harder" advice)
  • 😂 A bit of humor because if we can't laugh during SSC prep, we'll probably end up memorizing Idioms in our dreams.

The goal isn't just to teach questions.

It's to help people avoid the mistakes that waste 1–2 years of preparation.

So here's my question:

If a brand-new SSC channel launched tomorrow, what would make you subscribe immediately?

What do you think is missing from current SSC YouTube channels?

Be brutally honest. Roast the idea if you want. Better to get roasted on Reddit today than roasted by the YouTube algorithm six months later. 😂

Thinking of starting a YouTube channel for Commerce students... Need honest opinions!

I'm seriously thinking about starting a YouTube channel focused on Class 12 Commerce, CUET, CA Foundation, CS Executive, CMA Foundation, and IPMAT.

The reason? I've personally gone through (or am going through) these exams, spent way too many hours watching lectures at 2× speed, panicking before results, collecting PYQs, and making every possible mistake. 😭

The idea isn't to become another "study guru."

I want to make videos that are:

  • Easy to understand
  • Straight to the point (less bakchodi, more value)
  • Strategy + concepts + PYQs
  • Honest guidance about what actually works
  • Maybe a little bit of humor so studying doesn't feel like a punishment.

Would you actually watch a channel like this?

Also, what type of content do you think is missing on YouTube for Commerce students?

  • CUET strategy?
  • CA Foundation concepts?
  • CS/CMA guidance?
  • IPMAT prep?
  • Class 12 revision?
  • College admission updates?

Be brutally honest. If the idea is trash, tell me. If you'd subscribe, tell me what would make you hit that button.

Title: CUET 2027 Aspirants Targeting DU: Don't Ignore English & GAT During Boards

If you're in Class 12 (2026–27 batch) and your goal is to get into Delhi University, please don't make the mistake of studying only your board subjects.

A lot of students think they'll prepare for CUET English and GAT after the boards. That strategy can seriously hurt your chances—especially if you're aiming for North Campus or other top colleges.

If you're an average student, trying to score very high in English and GAT in just one month after boards is extremely difficult. Yes, exceptional cases exist, but don't plan your preparation assuming you'll be one of them.

My suggestion:

  • Keep your board preparation as the priority.
  • Alongside it, give 30–60 minutes daily to CUET English.
  • If your course requires GAT, prepare that consistently too.
  • Solve PYQs and practice reading comprehension regularly.

Small daily effort over several months is much easier than trying to cover everything after the boards.

Don't repeat the mistake that many aspirants make every year. Start balancing your Board and CUET preparation now.

What are you doing currently—Boards only, or Boards + CUET together?

Cleared SSC CHSL? Here's how I'd approach the last 3 months (for serious aspirants only)

Assume SSC CHSL 2026 is around October. That leaves roughly 3 months, which is enough to significantly improve your score if you've already completed the basics.

This is NOT for complete beginners.

If you've studied the syllabus before but are:

  • Stuck at 80 60 marks,
  • Unable to improve accuracy,
  • Confused about what to study daily,
  • Wasting time on random YouTube videos,

I can help you with a practical 90-day strategy.

I've prepared a detailed plan covering:
✅ Daily timetable
✅ Mock test strategy
✅ PYQ analysis method
✅ Subject-wise revision schedule
✅ Accuracy & speed improvement tips
✅ What to avoid in the last 90 days

No fake "study 18 hours" motivation—just a realistic strategy that focuses on maximizing your score in the remaining time.

If you're serious about cracking SSC CHSL 2026, DM me. I'll share the detailed roadmap and answer your preparation-related doubts.

Note: This is only for candidates who have already started their preparation. If you're starting from zero, you'll need a different approach.

My Friend Failed SSC CHSL Skill Test but Still Cracked IBPS Clerk While Preparing for Bank PO

How My Friend Cracked IBPS Clerk While Preparing for Bank PO (and Also Cleared SSC CHSL Written but Missed the Skill Test)

One of my closest friends had an interesting journey that I think many banking aspirants can learn from.

His main goal was Bank PO, so almost all of his preparation was focused on the banking syllabus—Quant, Reasoning, English, and daily mocks. Since the syllabus overlaps a lot, he also applied for IBPS Clerk without changing much in his preparation.

At the same time, he appeared for SSC CHSL. He managed to clear the written stages, but unfortunately couldn't qualify the Skill Test because he hadn't practiced typing enough. That was a tough lesson for him.

The good part? He didn't let that setback affect his banking preparation. He continued giving mocks, analyzing mistakes, and improving his speed and accuracy.

Eventually, he cracked IBPS Clerk.

His biggest takeaway was this:

  • If you're preparing seriously for Bank PO, don't skip IBPS Clerk forms.
  • Focus on concepts first, then give plenty of sectional and full-length mocks.
  • Analyze every mock instead of just attempting more tests.
  • If you're also appearing for SSC CHSL, don't ignore the Skill Test. Even after clearing the written exams, you still need typing practice.

Sometimes one exam doesn't go your way, but another one does. Keep preparing consistently, and let the overlap in the syllabus work in your favor.

Has anyone else here prepared for both Banking and SSC together? I'd love to hear your experience.

Scored 96.6%, Cleared CA Inter Group 1 & Got Hindu College B.Com – Starting a Free YPT Study Group

Hey everyone!

I'm thinking of creating a YPT (Yeolpumta) study group exclusively for Commerce students (Class 12 & Commerce aspirants).

The goal of this group is to:

  • Share daily study targets and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance.
  • Help with study planning, motivation, and doubts.
  • Build a small community where we all stay consistent.

A little about me:

  • Scored 96.6% in Class 12 (Commerce) in 2025.
  • Secured admission to Hindu College, B.Com.
  • Cleared CA Inter Group 1.

Some of you may have seen my older posts. Unfortunately, my previous Reddit account got banned because Reddit's filters mistakenly flagged it as spam.

Please don't DM me, as I'm trying to avoid another account getting flagged. If you're interested, just comment below, and I'll reply to you here and help everyone through this thread.

If enough people are interested, I'll create the YPT group and we'll start together.

Let's stay consistent and crack our goals together! 📚
