Handmade silver bow pendant – my latest design

It’s been a little while since my last post. Life has been busy, but I’ve also been spending most of my free time experimenting with new designs instead of posting.

After making quite a few flower-inspired pieces, I wanted to challenge myself with something different.

This little bow is made from a single strip of sterling silver. I shaped and twisted it by hand, trying to make the silver feel soft, almost like ribbon instead of metal. I’m planning to wear it as a pendant on a simple silver chain, although I’m still deciding whether to keep it that way or explore other versions.

I’ll be sharing more of these new pieces over the next little while as I finish them.

I’d love to hear what you think. Would you wear something like this?

The center of this flower took longer than the rest of the ring

I’ve made quite a few flower rings, but I always end up spending most of my time on the smallest details.

With this one, the flower center took longer than shaping the petals themselves. Tiny changes completely change how natural a flower feels at this scale.

Handmade work can be frustrating sometimes, but those little details are usually my favorite part.

Handmade sterling silver flower ring — pricing and listing advice?

I’m a new Etsy seller and I recently finished this handmade sterling silver flower ring.

I make each piece by hand, but I’m struggling with pricing. Since handmade work takes a lot of time, I don’t want to undervalue it, but I also don’t want to price myself out of the market.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback:
What price range would you expect for something like this?
Would this photo make you stop and look?
Is there anything you would improve before listing it?

Thank you! I’m still learning and trying to figure out how to turn my hobby into a small business.

Spent way too much time on the center of this tiny calla lily ring

This is another calla lily ring I recently finished in sterling silver.

The flower center ended up taking most of the time. I wanted it to feel a little closer to a real calla lily, so I kept refining the shape and texture until it looked natural at such a small scale.

I also tried photographing it on linen this time because I felt the softer texture matched the flower better than a plain background.

Handmade pieces are never perfectly flawless, but I think those small imperfections are part of what gives them character.
