How come Islamophobia makes sense but it's still 'not all men'?

Ever since the flight crash case,
"Firstly appreciating and acknowledging the bravery of the hero, and hoping for a speedy recovery"

Coming back, so I have seen numerous videos on all platforms justifying Islamophobia because of such terrorist cases, (I am not gonna agree/disagree since this post is not about religion) why is fear of men still ridiculed?

Men/society have done so much damage to women, for centuries now. From social humiliation, straight up murders and rapes to financial control and yet, we women are paranoid and it is not all men but its all Muslims.

PS: I am not a Muslim, and I did not want to hurt anyone's religious sentiments, if I did, I'd like to apologise.

How do I handle feminism and relationship?

To mods- I promise this is not a relationship advice request instead a life advice

To all the feminist women of this mod, how do you balance your relationship and your views on life?
I’m a big time feminist, have always been even before it was a word. Always questioned the way marriages were, the ‘ladki ho’ statements etc I 21F and my boyf 25M have been dating for past year and half. We’ve had problems but not we’re doing good.

Now being the feminist I am, I wanna not have kids since I’m genuinely worried about myself and the sacrifice it is to have kids but my boyfriend is the sweetest most caring person ever and I sometimes feel like having kids with him. But that thought clashes with what I see life like. Any and all marriages I have seen have been weighing those women, kids were a responsibility in a way I despised.

So am I just in the honeymoon phase and not realising reality, or is it okay? Idk what do you say?

Am I being difficult or is this a fair demand?

Full disclaimer: I might be seeking validation here. Often times I see posts of women have issues with their parents and I end up supporting the woman fully but this issue at my own home has me doubting myself, so please tell me if I am being wrong!

My father owns a business and wants me to work for him. I like that too. I am currently in my third year or college and worked there for 2 months as my summer internship. 2 of his employees left/are leaving for maternity leave. We decided that I can work after college, go to office for 3-4 hours at least and ofc saturday. I said that if I am committing my time this way throughout the week, I want to be able to go out with my friends and have fun every sunday. I will just go to college to attend classes and come home straight. He says you can go twice a month or max thrice. I asked the reason and he said he doesn’t need a reason to say no.

I told him respectfully that i don’t mind asking for permission, telling him where i am going, with who and any other questions but I don’t want him to say no without any reason. If there’s a valid reason to say no, of course I’ll listen to him, but he thinks as my father he can just say no for absolutely no reason.

I am 21 now and I see this as pure control.

Am i being difficult or is this a fair ask?

Is your brother treated differently at home?

I (22F) am honestly getting really frustrated with the expectations in my family.

For context, I have a younger sister, B (19F), and a younger brother, C (16M).

Apparently C has to study, which somehow means he is exempt from doing basically anything around the house. Asking him to clean up after himself like making his bed or clearing his study table, is treated like some massive burden. Meanwhile, B and I are expected to be available for every household task that comes up.

My dad has literally asked B and me to stay home specifically to help with housework. Even today, the one day of the week where I hoped I could sleep until 9 instead of getting up at 7, I was expected to wake up early and help out. C casually walked downstairs at 9:40, had breakfast, and left. Nobody said a word.

What really annoys me is that this isn't even a temporary thing because of exams. I remember when I had online classes from 12 PM to 8 PM. My mom expected me to come help during my 20-minute breaks between classes. Sometimes classes would run over, leaving me with barely 5 minutes, and I was still expected to help.

More recently, B had exams coming up in literally two days and was still expected to contribute to household work. Meanwhile, C's major exam attempt is almost two years away, yet everyone acts as if his study time is sacred and untouchable.

The thing is, it's not even like he's studying every waking second. We regularly see him scrolling on his phone for hours, hanging out with friends, and generally having free time. But somehow asking him to spend 30-40 minutes helping around the house is unreasonable.

And what makes it worse is that the expectations on me go beyond household chores. I'm also expected to help manage parts of my dad's business, run errands outside the house, go to the bank, handle miscellaneous tasks, and generally be available whenever something needs to get done.

Yet yesterday my dad told me that I wasn't helping enough around the house. I had been sick. When I pointed that out, he basically said, "It's not like you were so sick that you had to lie down all day."

I genuinely didn't know what to say to that.

I tried talking to my mom about how unfair this feels. Her response was essentially: "Leave him alone. B does the work, so why are you bothering him? I didn't expect this from you."

That's the part that gets me. It's not even about the chores themselves anymore. It's the fact that there seems to be a completely different standard for C than for B and me.

We're expected to study, work, help around the house, run errands, be responsible, and be available whenever needed. C is expected to study and somehow that cancels out every other responsibility.

I'm not angry that he studies. I'm angry that everyone else's time is treated as flexible and available, while his time is treated as precious.

I just needed to get that off my chest.

Beginner racquet query

I started tennis 2 months ago and borrowed a friend’s Tecnifibre T-fight 280 (she had used it for 3-4 years before)

I realised the racquet is a bit heavier for me even though it’s in great condition and has somewhat lost power overall.

Should I buy a new one yet or keep playing with this one till I learn.

I was thinking Head IG Challenge Team L - getting it for INR 7.8k

A small win when I feel like nothing is working...

Okay, so I just wanted to share something.

A little history:

I've had PCOS since I was 13. Growing up, I had the usual period issues here and there- delays, skipped cycles, etc.

In March 2024, after skipping my period in February, I took medication to induce it and decided to get a bit more serious about my health.

From April 2024 to July 2025, I got my periods exactly on time every month, which honestly felt like a huge win.

Then in July 2025, my family went through a major medical issue that involved surgery and a lot of stress. Ever since then, my periods became very irregular again.

In February this year, I decided to get serious about my health once more.

After that, I got my period on time in March, and now it's June; the 4th consecutive month that I've gotten it on time.

I've also been trying to lose weight. It's been very slow and honestly feels stagnant at times (I've lost 6 kg in 4 months), which can be frustrating when I see other people's progress.

But at the same time, seeing my hormonal health function properly again and getting regular periods makes me genuinely happy. It feels like my body is responding, even if the scale isn't moving as fast as I'd like.

Just wanted to share because sometimes it's easy to overlook these non-scale victories. ❤️

Why aren't men more enraged at other men who rape/assault people?

I don't see a lot of men enraged towards rape/assault. Not as much as I would expect at least. Those men are hurting not just women but men's image in society too. Whenever there is a rape post, I see some men angry, some talking about cases like Atul Subhash (which I am also really sad about, but that's not the place to talk about it), some victim blaming and some outright supporting the rape.

I really just wanna understand because I really hate women who make fake accusations as it not only ruins that person's life but also make people lose trust in our issues.

Why aren’t men as enraged?

How do you find friends in your twenties?

To all the women, have you ever felt lonely in your twenties and hoped you had a circle of good supportive female friends? I believe women need women no matter how good other relationships may be.

I am in a very happy and loving relationship but I want to have friends to do all girly stuff with and connect emotionally. I don’t wanna rely on just one person for my emotional and socialising needs.

But I feel like it’s super difficult to make friends in twenties..

Have you ever felt like nothing is working?

I have recently been feeling very off. Due to my career, health, friendships etc

I am overwhelmed by everything. I have been trying so hard to lose weight and have only lost like 5-6 kgs in past 4 months. It’s so disheartening and I feel super annoyed. I feel I’m losing my will and confidence with every passing day the scale doesn’t move.

I currently work for my dad and while he has best of interests for me, I feel like a failure. I feel like I can’t do anything of my own.

I lost a few very good friends in past year and have been feeling very lonely. I have a great boyfriend but I feel like I need a group of women. Actual female friends, girl friends. I know that would boost my life up a lot but idk what to do. I have tried everything.

21F looking for local friends

Hey everyone, I am Rey. I’ll turn 21 in a few months and. I recently lost a couple of really good friends and have been feeling a bit off since then. I like to read mystery novels, watch sitcoms, play badminton. I’m looking for girlies to do all the girly stuff with, yap, rant and basically looking for long term close friends. If this sounds like something you’re looking for and you live in Delhi, do dm.

(please don’t be a creep. Also I’d appreciate name, age and location, a little something about yourself when you text me)
