Help moderate r/auspayslips

Hello everyone!

r/auspayslips is currently unmoderated, and I'm looking for community members to step in and help run the space 😊

Here's what's needed:

  • Mods to help shape the community and make it a useful place for people benchmarking pay, benefits, and packages
  • Keeping spam under control like recruiter self-promotion, referral links, and financial-product marketing, so the focus stays on genuine salary discussion
  • Managing comments and users to keep things civil, and stepping in where posts risk identifying someone's employer, team, or individual pay details

We're more than happy to welcome mods with no prior experience, and all time zones are appreciated! All you need is a decent handle on the Australian pay landscape, good judgment, and a few minutes now and then to check the mod queue.

If you're interested please drop a comment below or message me directly (please include the sub name in your message). I'll then take a look at your history with the sub and your profile. If it's a good fit, I'll send over an invite in the next couple of days!

A little bit of extra context: I'm a Reddit admin and won't stay on the mod team once new mods are in place. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about modding or the process of becoming a mod!

CSIR NET is around the corner, and r/CSIR_UGC_NET_JRF_LS is looking for mods! 🔬📐

If the CSIR NET - the intense prep, the deep-dives into specialized science and math domains, and the mock test grinds, - is something you're living through right now or have successfully come out the other side of, you might be a great fit.

This subreddit covers a lot of ground for CSIR NET aspirants, from core preparation strategies and complex subject queries to JRF cut-offs, PhD admissions, and research careers.

Leave a comment if:

  • You've taken, qualified, or are currently deep in prep for the CSIR NET (Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or Physical Sciences), or UGC NET and want to stay close to this community as you progress.
  • You can check in regularly and genuinely enjoy helping people with strategies, paper patterns, doubts, and resource sharing.
  • Bonus: You’ve modded a subreddit, run a Telegram study group, or managed a Discord server before, and you're comfortable with the less glamorous bits—removing spam, organizing flairs, and keeping things civil. No prior experience is necessary though!

If that sounds like you, drop a comment below telling us where you are in your CSIR NET / JRF journey, why you'd like to mod, and roughly how much time you can give. We're excited to hear from you and build this community together!

P.S: We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis and will follow up with shortlisted folks!
