Whisper had been looking into a report of someone who looks like her former teammate, Slinger. It was clearly Mimic. As she and Tangle were checking out a cemetery, when they see a dark figure looking at an open grave, the faker. But as he turned around and looks at them they saw his eyes. It was the real Slinger. He had a face of relief, surprise, and guilt? But before single word could be spoken, a voice rang out. "Rhat aten't they here?! Who are you?!" The British sounding snake? Hyena maybe? Crawled out of the grave with what seemed to be a corpse. Assault rifle ready. However Slinger managed to calm everyone down. "Solution, they're friends." From there it kinda became an impromptu but semi-consensual kidnapping. During the car ride, Slinger and Solution explained that they were part of a three man crew of criminals. The body belonged to their third member, Butcher The Bobcat.

My idea is simple, Tails gets controlled and influenced by Dark Gaia. Just imagine the scene where Sonic realizes that he will have to fight his own brother. I imagine that his fight would take place in the later half of the game. Tails's battle is focused on trickery and illusions. This acts as a nod to his kitsune inspiration. During the fight, Tails will create illusions of himself. The only way to find out which one is real is that they actually won't damage you. Tails's main attack will be to throw fire balls at Sonic. The clones will mimic Tails when he attacks, but they won't caste fire balls. It has three parts. First stage has two Tails copies, the second has four, and the final has eight copies.
