I’m looking at a house out there and have lived in Cleveland my whole life so I’m not super familiar with the area. For reference this would be Ravenna township not the actual city. I’ve started becoming more and more ACAB in the last few years. When trying to defend my point people often say “Ok what is your plan to replace police.”
How do you respond to this? I mean clearly there is a purpose to law enforcement I don’t think it’s what we have now but what do you propose to replace the vacuum? Any advice to help change minds is appreciated!

Hey all I have a question about leaving. I’ve worked in LE for around 5 years for the same city agency. My agency is very busy and I’m feeling burnt out. I never really wanted to be a cop but I took the test and now I’m feeling the golden handcuffs of decent pay, unlimited OT etc.
That being said I’m looking to make a jump. I have several applications in with some trade unions and local fire departments (same pension in my state). I just haven’t had any luck at this point most places are taking forever to hire.
Does anyone know of other avenues of work? I’ve heard cybersecurity and going to work for Axon or whatever but the majority of those jobs take some relocation and I’m just not willing to do that at this point.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Has anyone heard anything about the new hiring process? I’ve been told no more interviews and they’re basing scores off of your resume in combination with a test that each local will offer. This was from a BA so I’m assuming it’s fairly accurate.
Anyone have any ideas on how to stop mice at this corner? I buried hardware cloth all around and it seemed to stop them around other parts of the coop. But at this corner they keep coming through.
