I’ve be using my gravel bike as a MTB/ATB for the longest and am interested in buying a proper MTB frame to swap components to.

This would be my first MTB. So I could use some advice. Especially on any limitations regarding the suspension fork or drive train. I found this Giant XTC Advanced non-boost and thought it might work.

Here are the components I’d Iike to use:
27.5 wheels (142x12mm and 15x100mm)
Rival GXP 1x Crankset 30t
Rival RD with Garbaruk Cage
9-50 XD Cassette (11spd)
11spd shifter
SRAM Level brake levers
SRAM post mount caliper
Flat bars
Stem
Seatpost
Seat

Every time I ride north on the 405 I pass this huge dirt path and wonder if it’s rideable. What is it, where is it, and can I bring my mtb?

My basement mini bathroom slowly had the floor rot out, so we ripped out the vinyl planks and the plywood sub floor. The floor framing needs to be replaced as well.

Two sets of plumbers agreed that none of the pipes were leaking, and the shower pan was not leaking either.

One of the contractors said that the reason why this happened is because the pipes are above ground and are drawing moisture to them. Would you agree?

If so, do I need to bust open the slab, build a trench and set the pipes in them? Or is there another way to have the pipes above ground, using a frame, like they were originally designed?

Previous owner took out the stairs before selling me this place. How would you suggest I go about getting a new set of stairs?

It’s on the East Coast so it needs to be snow and weatherproof.

One contractor quoted me $10k for concrete stairs, but I don’t have that type of cash.

-Is this something I can do with risers from the hardware store?
-Are there any options in the $2 - $5k range?
