I had the honor of seeing Taylor play in Atlanta in 2017, Josh in Birmingham in 2023 and Illan in Nashville last Saturday. There will never be another Taylor but I gotta say that Illan comes a hell of a lot closer than Josh. Don’t get me wrong, Josh was technically perfect but Illan comes a lot closer to Taylor’s passion and that X factor he added to the music. Anybody else agree or disagree?
Had the following instructions on my last delivery:
“Apartment is all the way around the pool in the back of the complex #XXXX. Building X #XXXX on the ground floor. Please KNOCK!!! On the door when you arrive. “
I made the delivery and knocked firmly on the door. The customer came out and said hatefully “That knocking was a little excessive!” I said sorry, instructions said “Knock” in all caps and it had 3 exclamation points after it. I thought that’s what you wanted me to do.” She said “I meant rap on the door lightly!” I said sorry again and got back in my truck and called support to report the incident in case she tries to give me a bad review. Support agreed with me about the instructions and said they’d put a notation in my file in case the customer gave a bad review.
Bought this at a Trash and Treasure sale today. I just thought it was nice. Can anyone tell me more about it? All i can find online is that it’s likely from the 70s.
Edit: If the second hand gets stuck in places is that a sign it’s been overwound?
Edit 2: To what I am certain will be the horror of everyone on here, I opened the case and blew it out with canned air and sprayed a little wd-40 on the mechanism and it’s been running like, well, clockwork ever since.
Started to cancel the job and got this warning. I think got canceled maybe two yesterday. and this would be the first one today. anybody know the criteria for cancellation Suspension?
Just shopped a huge order and i was out of the parkinglot when the cancelation notice was sent. It was due to the customer, not me. No return directions or codes. What do i do with the groceries?
UPDATE: I returned the groceries. It took over an hour. Not one single manager in the entire store had any record of the job being canceled except that it had been re-dropped no one could tell me what I needed to do with it. I’ll talk to the Spark manager, the electronic whatever it is manager that does electronic sales orders and customer service. I contacted customer service for Spark and they couldn’t give me a return authorization code either. after an hour shopping and another hour, trying to get someone to take the groceries back, I got paid two dollars. Bottom line honesty does not pay it costs when it comes to Spark driving.
Update 2:
After my fourth attempt, i was able to speak to a customer service agent at spark and detail the issue. (The first three times the call got dropped as i was talking.) I was told the issue was that the order got canceled after I checked out, but before I hit “I’ve left the store” (there was no one to check my cart when I was leaving and I was admonished once before for blowing past the exit pass without getting checked. So I was waiting until Id left, just in case someone said something about it)So, despite having checked out and having had a cart check when i was checking out, the system registered it as my not having completed the order, therefore i did not get a return code. It was the same as not having checked out, so that is why none of the managers i spoke with had a record of the shop. Apart from morality, there was no reason I couldn’t have taken the stuff home and kept it. The agent I spoke to on the phone said that the issue would be escalated to technical support and they would make the determination as to whether I got paid or not. So far i have only been paid a $2 show up fee.
On a related note when you call customer support just shout “Human!” at every prompt and you get to talk to a person quickly.
Is this a recent development or have I just been living under a rock?

This was a pick up delivery. I didn’t shop for these groceries. I don’t know what’s cold and not cold without digging through all the bags. They’ll probably leave a complaint because their bags were all messy.
I have virtual drives from Xcode (Xcode 18.6 simulator bundle) on an external drive and can't delete them. I dont have Xcode installed on my desktop, but terminal indicates that I have command line tools intalled. however when I try to run it from there, it says Xcode is not installed. Generally I know what I'm doing, but this one has me stumped. At some point, I must have installed and run xcode via the command line to do something (probably mod an icon) and then either I uninstalled it or something is corrupted. I don't remember deleting the app but it sounds like something I would do. What will deleting the files from the library directory do? FTR, I rarely use Xcode, so losing something I created is not an issue.
