Exposing a fraud finance influencer claiming to work at JP Morgan.

Moksh Sanghvi, a finance influencer with 100k+ followers posted a reel on October 10 claiming to work in quant at JP Morgan.

Now, go to his LinkedIn.

He’s listed as a Director of Business Development at a medical device components company and a co-founder of an electronics components business. There is no mention of JP Morgan. No quant role. No internship. No previous stint. Absolutely nothing. Let that sink in. Someone building an audience in finance is publicly claiming a prestigious quantitative finance job that seemingly has no trace on his professional profile.

And this isn't the first time.

Some time ago, he posted another reel claiming to work full-time at Morgan Stanley. From what I remember, people questioned that claim in the comments, and the reel disappeared shortly afterwards. Morgan Stanley doesn't appear on his LinkedIn either. So first Morgan Stanley, now JP Morgan? Two major investment banks, a supposed career in quant, and somehow none of this shows up on the very platform professionals use to document their careers.

But here's why this matters beyond an influencer trying to look impressive on Instagram.

He also runs a paid cohort where he showcases stock research, charging ₹699 per person.

This is fraud/scam-guy behaviour, plain and simple. Throw around prestigious bank names, manufacture credibility, attract followers, and then charge people for your "finance community". What a convenient business model. There's nothing wrong with his actual listed career. There's everything wrong with knowingly misrepresenting your credentials to gain traction and sell people financial expertise you claim to possess.

100k followers don't make you credible, and a prestigious bank's name isn't your personal marketing prop. Show the proof. People deserve better than potentially fabricated credentials and ₹699 worth of bullshit.

Futures First OA

Randomly applied to Futures First and got shortlisted for the OA. Role was Trainee - International Markets. The test was difficult, not sure if I’ll make the cut. Do we get an email telling us our results and whether we’ve proceed to the next step? If yes, how long does the email take?

US MBA to London IB/PE

As the title says, is it at all possible to land a high finance role in London after doing an MBA in the US? Say a T15 MBA if not M7. Or am I geographically set in one place if I decide to study there?

Cook's Distance Level 2

Just started studying for my CFA L2 exam. Doing quants rn and came across something called Cook's Distance in my video lectures but can't seem to find anything related to the concept in my Schweser book. Has it been removed from the curriculum? Just wanted to confirm.

Goldman Sachs Real Estate AM?

Came across this role at GS. It caught my interest as I have some internship experience in Real Estate Investment Banking. Was curious about how the RE Asset Management team is and if this should be worth pursuing. Also is this role open to fresh graduates? Doesn't say it has a Master's requirement and experience is also "preferred" and not required. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Campus Recruitment Timeline?

HSBC came to a friend's college for campus recruitment (undergrad level). The Values Based Assessment was conducted around a month ago and some people got rejection mails post that and some people are still awaiting next steps. The HSBC HR team hasn't reverted back to college. Recruitment seems extremely slow. As per seniors who have gotten into HSBC via campus, the next step should be a GD round but the fact that its been a month after the values based assessment and HSBC hasn't gotten back to the college is concerning.

Would be grateful if someone could confirm the campus recruitment timeline at HSBC.
