So my sister is a bams student currently doing her internship in a government hospital in my town . Currently she works in pediatrician department and she told me that she noticed that from the day she started her internship in pediatrics she had notice that 8 out of 10 women are muslim women . Today she told me that one Muslim woman who was In her 50s came today for pregnancy test and it came negative and instantly she became sad , my sister out of concern asked why are u sad you already have 7 children she replied by saying she and her husband wants more children.

So my question is why only muslim women have such a high fertility rate , I would understand if there were some cases where one day muslim women came in higher numbers in the hospital but every day they came in the majority in the hospital to get checkups . I am not only talking about district hospital in my town but also a hospital in Jaipur where my sister did her internship. I am not saying that only muslim women have 4 to 6 children hindu and other religion have as well but that was in the 60s or 70s not in current 21st century, even my grandfather had 7 children and my great grandfather had also 7 and his father had only 1 well he died early . Why does muslim couples have more children in comparison to others ? My sister also told me that most infertility cases are also from Muslim community.
