13.5 avg mpg after 3k mile road trip

Just drove 3k miles through Monument Valley, North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Mono Lake, and then back through NV and UT stopping at Bryce, Zion and Grand Staircase.

Averaged around 13.5 mpg, which is pretty much what I expected. Mix of some offroad, some highway, some B roads.

Just wondering what other people average. Truck has 15k miles and I carry two 4gal rotopax on the sides, and two Roam cases up top. Plus the KO3 tires, so, my mileage expectations are pretty much in line with my gas usage stats.

Brand new RM Williams - interesting stripe down the front

Did I pay extra for a random stripe down the front of the boot?

Not impressed by RM Williams QC. Boot fits great though, I might just keep them. Everything I buy has to be shipped to me (live in middle of nowhere), and everything seems to take 2 or 3 returns to get right. Tired of it.

Comfort Craftsman in saddle. Bought the same size I wear in Blundstone, fits great. Narrower fit, but very comfortable.

EDIT - So, I've learned this is normal due to the manufacturing process. Ignore my complaint about QC, because they are really nice boots.

EAC and flac failing

Basically, EAC copies a file to .wav on disk just fine, but when it hands off to flac.exe, something fails.

I've tried running flac.exe in command line with a .wav file with all the same options as I have set in EAC - WORKS.

So, somehow, the hand-off from EAC to flac is broken but for the life of me can't figure it out. I did double, triple, quadruple check my flac.exe path name, ran as Administrator, tested for errant characters....

Not a big deal to just use EAC to copy CDs to .wav files and than batch flac conversion separately, just wonder if there's any known issue here, or just my install of Win11 hates me.

How to attach Rotopax to the DVA side window bars

This is just a quick post for @Lightzephyrx to show how I attached my Rotopax to the DVA bars that mount over the rear side windows. The photos uploaded in the reverse order, but in the last photo you can see how the mounts are bolted to the vertical bars.

Sorry for the spam everyone, I couldn't figure another way to get the photos posted here. I'm sure there's a way to do it in chat, but again, wasn't able to figure it out.

GrapheneOS local backup restore fail

Moved from Android to Graphene, did a local backup in Signal, then installed GrapheneOS and Signal, then copied local backup to phone, and...Signal can't read the archive. Doesn't give me an option to enter encryption key, just, fails. Hmmm. I don't care, none of the messages are important, but I am curious how this is supposed to work.

Track wheel suggestions for g87 M2

Title says it all. Looking to get an extra set of wheels for the occasional track day. My car has the staggered wheels, but not sure if that's what one does for the track. My only other track car is a Caterham 7 that runs slicks in autocross. Previously raced 400cc motorcycles.

Thanks for your help.
