Hospitals car-centric

Why is it that all 3 hospitals in my region are all planned with cars in mind?

They are far in hard to reach areas with no public transit links.

Hence, the only option is to drive there and spend hours driving around aimlessly until a spot because there can never be enough parking if literally everyone is forced to drive there.

You'd think for a 24/7 hub which necessitates disabled friendly access the planners would've figured this out

With heatwaves becoming the norm due to climate change, should we adjust our summer business hours like hot countries?

People already complained about short retail hours compared to other countries, and now with less people going out mid-day instead opting to go out in the cooler evening, shouldn't we open things longer?

Mark Felton Death of Royal Navy Vid

He says he's non political but he's hearting a lot of questionable comments.

I'm rather surprised as he considers himself a scholar, he's concoting a comment section of misinformation and hate.

Blaming immigrants for the decline of the military when it's been the case post ww2 reflecting the UKs position seems like a reductionist tabloid article unbecoming of a supposed historian

How reliable is Islam Stack Exchange?

I was just doing some seerah reading and came upon this post on the topic of Ibrahim's mother.

According to what majority of scholars support this view that "Every disbeliever is by default a Harbi" so are "lawful to take as spoils of war, even without battle"?

Because this sounds dangerously like extremist talking points that radical groups use to kidnap non-muslim civilians without even formal declarations of war to justify themselves.

As the professionals commented, the only thing "voluntary" about a UK voluntary police interview is that you come into the station on your own accord instead of being arrested and hauled there by police.

And they can dupe you into accepting a criminal record under the guise of being "cautioned".

Hate crime laws are one thing, but retroactively applying it and on an alleged offence that took place outside of UK jurisdiction seems like a scary overreach.

Looks like it's not just the US now that you have to scrub your social media before visiting the country...
