Lately I have been applying heavily for a remote position as a mechanical designer/product designer with no success yet.

Most of job boards posts have been useless lately, I shifted to contact companies directly from there websites, haven't been lucky to get hired remotely as most of their openings are in office.

I have solid 13 years experience with strong portfolio. I am looking for a remote position.

Startups, makers, companies, fabrication shops..etc

If anyone has openings I would love to discuss it further.

I've studied mechanical engineering upto 6th.

Since I've dropped out of college, I continued to read books online, I focused on 3D mechanical design. I done few freelance jobs here and there, designed soap dispenser, ev frames and panels, full uav design...all paid

I created a very solid designer profile on Grabcad.com

Yet, the issue I am facing is every engineering job offer requires a degree.

Am I considered an engineer? Could I ever land a job?

I barely surviving, so there is no way I can afford college now!

I am also 33y , is this the end of my engineering journey?

I am a Sudanese living in Addis Ababa, I just renewed my visa paying 130$. This made me short for rent as most Sudanese here I am staying in a motel, it's safe but rent is 20$ per day. I will receive my salary at 27/5. But currently in need of 50$ to cover the rent. Unfortunately, The motel àsk for a daily payment, otherwise you have to leave. I tried with them, but if someone been here in ethiopia, he will know they are not very forgiving when it comes to money.

So my request is 50$ via binance/paypal, and on 27/5 I send you the money back.

This is not a guarantee type loan, it's a humanitarian loan.
